Wedding Card Swap.....

Hello and Happy Wednesday everyone! It's the middle of the week
already? WOW! Looking forward to Friday! It really can't come soon
enough! LOL I hope you're all having a great week so far... Mine is semi
busy as I try to work at the store and prepare for Friday night.... I'm also
in talks with moving my store! I know... Already? WHAT? It's not like
I'm getting rich or anything... but I want to move to a better location and
a better building... The place I'm at now is where the previous owner was
and at the time it was best to stay were I was... But after spending a couple
of months there during the winter.... I'm thinking it's NOT the best place to be!
The owner of the building doesn't take care of it and it really is falling
apart.... IT gets SUPER COLD in the winter and there is a
SKUNK problem that I would have to deal with come Spring......
I'm stuck here until June because of my lease...
but there is another building on Main street which would bring in
3x's as many people and the owners take care of the building....
Sooo I'm looking at that option... the rent is
$100 cheaper than what I'm paying and I really, really like the layout of
the place.... Hubby & I already looked at it once, so now I'm gonna
take my mom to see what she thinks... If I say YES! I will
have to sign an agreement with that owner so they don't rent it out....
They said they would hold it for me if I really wanted it.... I explained about
me being "stuck" in the place I'm in until June and they were very
understanding about it.... I'm actually very excited to move over there even
though it's still several months away.... I've got ideas swirling around in
my big ole' head! And the fact that it will be wayyy better for my business
is an added bonus! :o) Any who.. I guess I should talk about my project for today...
I told ya about my monthly card swap and I had this months cards
ready to go early! The theme was Wedding this month and I hadn't
showed you the card yet cause some of my Card swap friends read
my blog and I don't like them to see my cards ahead of time... So
now that we had the swap I'll share my card with all of you! :o)

The sketch is from Mojo Monday #222! I really liked the
sketch that they had and instantly came up with an idea!
I used my IMAGINE & the CCR Program to create my card...
I really like using the FREE Cricut Craft Room for designing
anything with my Imagine... It really helps with the sizing!
Here's the Speck's on my card:

Card stock, Ink - Stampin' Up
Stamp - My Creative Time (Many Greetings)
Cartridges - Vintage Papers & Heirloom as the Designer Paper
George & Basic Shapes for the Music Paper rectangle (3 3/4 x 1 1/2)
and Blue Background (4 x 5 1/4)
CTMH Art Philosophy - Scallop Shape #31 on the Overlay (2 1/2)
Circle #1 on the Overlay (2.194)
Banner (3 3/4)
Sentiment Shape #16 on the Overlay (1 1/2)
I used the "Hide Contour" Feature for the Layer of the Sentiment shape

Now the Rosette I actually created myself! I have the Ribbons & Rosettes
cartridge and I have Tim Holtz Rosette dies but I didn't use any of those
because I was looking for something a little smaller... THUS..... Making
my own Rosettes! I did use the Tim Holtz Die for the small scallop
circle to hold the rosette together! But the rosette itself was created by me
and I can't remember the size I made it... SORRY about that! I
did use my Martha Stewart Score Board to score the lines to make it...
And I believe that's all I have for today! I hope you like my wedding card...
I think it looks kind of antique... maybe that's just me? LOL
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have an
AWESOME DAY!!!

Theresa

It's great that they will hold the place for you. Nothing like freezing in the winter and skunks in the spring to make moving attractive.

Your card is really pretty. I have the ribbons and rosettes cart, but have yet to bust it out. Every time I see a rosette, I wonder what I'm waiting for!

Oh WOW!!!!! This is just beautiful!!!! I love it!! The whole layout of it is awesome! Love all of the papers. This is just a fantastic card.
So glad you will be getting into a better place. Skunks would be so terrible to have to deal with. One of the guys at work has skunks at his house. One sprayed under their house and he stunk for over a month!!

What a lovely card! Everything just pops against that dark blue background and I love the layers and rosette! So, so pretty! Happy to hear that business is going well and that you may have found a better location. Skunks are NOT a good problem to have...yikes! Hope this works out for you, but hope you don't get so bogged down with moving that you don't have time to craft! I've really enjoyed seeing you in the bloggy world again...lol!

The card is just WONDERFUL! Best wishes on the new location! Sounds like you have already decided... just getting the family to re-enforce the idea. Hee! Hee! I used to own a store and there is nothing worse than a bad land lord. Seriously! I went though so much there and when someone offered to buy my business... of course, I totally sold out. Hee! Hee! It was so worth it. I really wanted to just prove that i could be successful with it and by the time I proved myself, I was ready to move on. Hee! Hee! Can't wait to hear good business news soon!
