Hello Fellow Crafters! Today I've got something

to share... I FINALLY used my Stamps of Life Stamps!

My good Blogging Friend Tanya over at Studio 5380

will probably be SHOCKED! Cuz she knows I'm a club member

and I always tell her I'm gonna use my stuff... But I NEVER DO!

Well, Friday Changed all of that! I pulled a couple of sets out

Hello & Happy Monday Morning to ya!

Did you have a wonderful weekend?

I thought I would be crafting this weekend....

Instead... I went grocery store hopping on Saturday!

Sunday! I was busy Friday night.... but that's about it...

Hello & Happy MLK Day! Did ya have a great

weekend? Are you still on your weekend with today

being a holiday? Either way... I hope you have time

to enjoy the little things life has to offer you today! :)

who asked "What is a Card Swap?"

 

Swaps are always a fun part of any craft groups.  

For a card swap, each crafter makes a number of cards and

then trades them with other crafters.  This is a GREAT

way to get new ideas, get a good variety of cards,

learn new techniques, and meet new people. 

It is far easier to make 8 of one card than 8 different cards. 

 

We have a theme every month and we get the list at the beginning

of every year... So February's theme is Female Birthday....

So I just need to make 8 Female Birthday Cards (all the same)

and bring them to the Feb. Swap and exchange them with

the other gals in my group... and I'll have 8 new cards to share...

 

Now, sometimes you'll get beginner crafters in the group, so

you need to be supportive of the cards they make no matter

how bad you may think they are.... They will get better and it

helps if you're more experienced than them so you can

give them tips & tricks to help them improve..... :)

 

Before I moved I was in a card swap group... and when we

started it.. a lot of them had no clue how to make a card...

I was in charge of the monthly theme and making sure everyone

brought their cards whether they could make it that month or not...

We would have 2 people teach a new technique every month as well....

Over time.... My friends started to make some amazing cards...

And I was so glad to be apart of the group & helping them

bloom into the wonderful crafters they are today! :)

 

You can also do an online card swap too.... you just need some

friends who would want to participate and then mail your

cards off.... it's fun & exciting to get some fun Snail Mail! :)

Devoted.....

Hello & Happy Dance Friday to ya!

 I finally went to the card swap this week

and met some fun people! They swap cards

once a month and there is only 8 ladies in the group!

So this should be fun & interesting! :)

I was also invited to go along with them to

the Scrapbooking Expo the end of March....

So, it looks like I'm making friends! YAY for ME! :)

Went to Vegas Yesterday, and all was well...

Got to drop some furniture off at my sons house...

We didn't get to see my son since he was at work

& I didn't want to wait til after 9 pm to leave Vegas..

I did make a trip to Hobby Lobby which was so

FUN for me... Hubby doesn't care for it but I went

to an RC Car place with him too so we are now even! HA

Any who.... no big plans for the weekend

probably just hanging out at home

and maybe making a couple of things.... :)

Speaking of things... Here's another

Winter Penguins....

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I've got something different to share with you!

Over the weekend I was making a bunch of different

wood crafts... So I thought I would share one with you!

 

I really enjoy making these projects....

It's a nice change from cards (Which I love to Make!)

But the painting seems to relax me... :)

 

I LOVE how these turned out! :)

It's perfect for sitting on a shelf

 since it's still Winter time! :)

 

I glittered his belly & the blue snowflake....

Added some blue tulle & gem to the snowflake

I used 2 cotton balls & some blue wire to make his ear muffs!

Inked around all of the edges.... :)

 

This little cutie has a glitter belly as well...

I used some Echo Park Winter Paper for his scarf...

Inked his edges as well.... :)
