Hello and Happy Thursday everyone!
I asked Mi-Mi to post today since I'm
doing a blog hop on Saturday but I have nooooo
clue where she is at! :o) Sooo I thought I would
post my card for a challenge over at:
Creative Critterz Imagination - Make a Father's Day
card using your Imagine! They are asking everyone to
join in and then you get to vote for your favorite card!
Soooo if you don't have an Imagine or plan to participate
I would LOVE it if you can vote for me! The winner will
receive the YUMMY Imagine Cartridge! Nice Prize! :o)
I've contacted Tammy about the challenge because there
is a problem with linking my project up so as soon as I know
all is well with linking I'll let you guys know too! :o)
Anyway.... Here is the project I made for their challenge!
I really like how this turned out! I used the Cricut Craft Room
to design my card.... They are working on getting the Imagine
to cut but it's not 100% yet... Or at least it's not for me! :o) They
are very close to getting both the I and the CCR to work together
and I'm soooo super exited about that! :o) Any who...
Card stock, Scallop border Punch - Stampin' Up
Designer papers - Imagine More Cartridge
Cartridges - George & Basic Shapes (Scallop Border)
was done in the DP & cut @ 4.4
(Striped Rectangle) was Cut @ 4.4
(Spotted DP) was Cut @ 4.3 x 5.8
Celebrate w/Flourishes (DAD) Cut @ 3 1/2"
(1) was cut out (2x's)
(#) was cut out (2x's)
(D) was cut out (2x's)
(D) was cut out (2x's)
And then I added some Baker's Twine
Here is the side view to show the added dimension
that I used to pop up some of the cuts on the #1 Dad!
And yes the inside is done just a little bit!
I don't like to waste any paper so I took the
extra piece from the Imagine Circle DP and cut it in
half then used the border scallop punch on them
they are about 1/2" wide and 4" long
and the sentiment is from my Hallmark program....
Someone asked me how I use my program with my
cards and basically I get a sheet of white Card stock
and add a few different sentiments to the sheet since
I don't like to waste paper/Card stock and I usually get
about 4 different sentiments on 1 sheet and then I cut them
out that way instead of using my Cricut & the Center point...
I actually have 1 piece of card stock as my template already
It's a 4 x 5 1/4 piece and I have a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 for my
square cards that I use.... and I flip my paper over and use my
template to mark my cutting area.... If this doesn't make sense
to anyone please let me know and I will do a tutorial on it....
It's really easy to do and maybe someone else has a better
method but this is what works for me.... So let me know
in the comment section... Thanks for stopping by...
and make sure you go check out
how crafty those design team gals are!
They come up with such cute projects using the I!
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!!
Theresa
