Hello and Happy Wednesday Everyone! I really hope you're
all having a wonderful week so far! I've been
busy with the store... We've gotten tons of stuff
brought into us since the New Year began... People are
cleaning out closets and things so they bring us their items...
Some items have been great and sell really quickly... Other
items look like trash and apparently they think other people
will want it... NOT! Actually I think some people are just
to lazy to drive to our local dump and end up leaving it with us...
I really don't like that, cause I don't have any deals with the city
so it ends up in my trash which gets full to quickly and then I
can't even use my own trash because of the garbage they bring...
Of course I don't want to turn people away because it is donated
but it can be a real headache some of the time.... We've put ads
in the paper to let them know we will take donations of Gently Used
items... But apparently that doesn't matter... Oh well.... the In's and outs
of a Thrift Store I guess... :o) Here is my card for today!
Card stock, Ribbon, Ink - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper - DCWV (Lemon Stack)
Black Ink - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Border Punch - Fiskars (Sunburst)
Stamp - My Creative Time (Polka Dot "Surprise")
Cartridges - George & Basic Shapes (Circles)
Cut @ 3 1/4", 3 1/2"
Celebrate w/Flourishes (Present # 23 on Overlay)
Cut @ 2 1/2"
I realized after the fact that I have a banner cut on
my cartridges but did not use it! UGH! I made them
by hand.. Oh Well Next time for sure! LOL
Well that's all I have for you today... Thanks so
much for stopping by! Have an AWESOME DAY!!!
Theresa

Beautiful card. TFS
ReplyDeletelove the color scheme....and i agree that people know the difference between junk and re-usable...they are just playing dumb...can you tell this is a pet peeve of mine?
ReplyDeleteVery nice card! And yes, people each have their own version of "gently used" don't they. :)Amy
ReplyDeleteFantastic card! Love the papers. The colors are great. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you get others garbage. People should be ashamed of themselves, but they aren't.
So pretty! I don't usually like yellow anything, but I really love the color scheme on this. It all works so well together! I agree that those who are leaving the trash are playing dumb. Jill and I both work in retail and some days it would sure be nice to be able to go "Pawn Stars" and their butts! Some days I would just love to go Ashley on someone! Hee! Hee!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Makes me think of summer and lemonade. Sorry about all the trash. Unfortunately, I don't think that will change. Hopefully the good will outweigh the bad. Some people just don't care.
ReplyDeleteps I actually made 3 cards on Tuesday. Yippee So I finally have some posts.
Hi Theresa, WOW! your card is stunning with the colors!! I'm sorry to hear about all the trashy items, but I agree with you people are just lazy to dump their items else where. Have a fantastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Norma
