Hello & Happy Monday Everyone!
Did you guys have a wonderful weekend?
I did some cleaning AND I'm trying to learn
how to SEW! YIKES!!! I've mentioned this
many times, when leaving comments & blog posts that
I CAN'T SEW! I never really learned how too...
I see so many neat things being made by people who can sew...
I'm always in AWE of their work!
AND... the sewing machine SCARES ME!!! ;)
Sooo, over the weekend, I tried my hand at it - Making
some Fall place mats - I promise I will share them
on here, probably this next week as I already have my post
for this week pre-scheduled! :) I figure, if they turned out alright
I will go place mat crazy and make different ones for all the
different holidays!!! YES! I'm that crazy! hahahaha
In the mean time, let me share a sweet Fall card -
I'm using a Digi image from KaDoodle Bug Designs
I actually had this little cutie colored last year,
using my Spectrum Noir Markers - :)
He was just waiting patiently in my stash to get put on a card!

Theresa, this is an Autumnal delight! What a little cutie pie and I absolutely love the gorgeous patterns you've used throughout. The banners and sequins are so pretty! Your ribbon is so very pretty... harvest warmth is one of the loveliest color palettes. I cannot wait to see your placemats! I would love to do something of that nature. I love sewing and hope to experiment someday. I dislike only using my happy sewing machine for cards! And it's been months since I've even done that. :/ I look forward to seeing everything you create, my dear friend. :o)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Karen
Glad that adorable little bear waited patiently - he's the star of a very sweet autumn card! Looking forward to seeing your placemats. I used to sew a lot of Lauren's clothes when she was little, but I have to say I always find sewing a little frustrating. Have a wonderful week, Theresa!
ReplyDeleteToo darn cute. Love the huge tag with that adorable image. As always your paper selection is perfect. Looking forward to seeing your place mats. Just keep sewing and it will get easier and easier each time. I love to sew and really need to do more of it.
ReplyDeleteHave a creative day.
Hugs Nana

Oh my goodness!!! I am soooooo loving your card Theresa!!! That little bear is so adorable!! And the pattern papers are just fabulous!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable! and congrats on learning to sew!! I always turn to YouTube for a tutorial if I'm stuck, and let me know if you need anything - I might be able to help! It's sew fun ;0
ReplyDeleteYour card is too cute! Good luck with the sewing. I have not touched a sewing machine since my 7th grade class when we had to take sewing. I realized then that it wasn't for me. My mom was so good at sewing, I think she was disappointed when I didn't care for it. Have a good week.

I used to sew a lot - kids clothes, curtains, etc. - but haven't sewn in years! Okay, that's a lie. This weekend I sewed a strap back on to one of my daughter's shirts... Not quite the same thing! I hope that your learning to sew goes well!
ReplyDeleteYou card is adorable! The design is wonderful with the strips of fall papers - and that image is cute, cute, cute!!
What a fun card..that image is adorable, and I love the papers you used!! I can't really sew either, but like to try once in a while....have fun!! Cant wait to see what you made!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is soooo adorable! Love your colouring and the background papers looks great too! I can sew, but I'm still too afraid as well to try it in on card. LOL!

What a sweet little guy! This is a darling image and works beautifully on this pretty layout. Great papers and fun embellishments just make this card pop!
ReplyDeleteI'm not much with sewing either - my Mama is a seamstress and made me learn the basics when I was a kid. It does come in handy with repairs, and I've actually put together a few garments in the past, but it's just not really my thing! Have fun with it and share your placemats soon!
Awwww... he's so cute!! Love the design of your card and such pretty papers... love it!
