Bride & Groom....

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
We have a short work week this week...
Thanks to Easter being on Sunday... We get
4 days off... This is our last break before
School gets out next month! Soooo,
hopefully I can play catch up with many, many
things I need to get done this weekend!

I thought I would share one of the cards I made
for my son... He needed 2 Wedding cards and wanted
them both too be different... Sooo, I found a design in
the Silhouette Store... I started out making it like
the card shape... but.... started to run into trouble...
HOW?? You ask? Well... Heck I don't know... All
I do know is after 4 tries... I came up with a new game plan...

Here's the card that gave me trouble...

Basically, the trouble began when I wanted to cut the shape
without the dotted fold lines... I thought I measured it
correctly... so when I made my score lines.. it was off...
So I tried it again... same thing... tried one last time and
got it right.... I then proceeded to make the card.....
Started looking great... then *Me* being the "Must add More"
crafter that I am.... choose to add some Nuvo drops
to the necklace (which is NOT on this card) ... Well..
I had a miss step... and it got in the wrong place...
When I tried to fix it... well.... let's just say.... their was
NO WAY to fix it.... so then I had to remake the WHOLE CARD!

So then I decided to resize the card.. cuz I thought it
was too big anyway... Well... then came the score line mishap
all over again.... By this time.... You would think I would have
given up... NOPE! Not this stubborn chick! 😂

I finally decided.. SCREW IT! I'm making this a basic card
of 5 x 5 and I'm cutting off the original dress &
tuxedo and adding it to the card front of this new
5 x 5 square card! Yup... that's what really happened...

I tell ya what... Sometimes when we craft and things
just don't go our way... we really should just STOP!
Next time I swear I'll do that! (maybe) 😁

  1. I'm sorry, but I had to laugh while reading your post, Theresa! I think I would have walked away from the project before you did! Your finished card is absolutely amazing though! I'm guessing it is better than the original file anyway, so your excuse is just that you had to perfect it from the original design lol!

  11. I'm feeling you on the when things don't go right. I had that happen with a project this week and I thought I could salvage it but did more harm than good when trying to do so. What a time waster. Glad to see that yours had a much happier ending. LOL
