Aloha....

Hello and Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Today is our Fun Challenge over at
We are to make a Card with a Beach Theme!
Using Any cartridges or Colors we'd Like!
Sounds like an interesting challenge to me!
I really don't make Beach theme cards, so it
was something I had to think about.... I actually
designed 2 different cards... and couldn't decided
which one I was gonna make this time...
I thought about just making both but I didn't really
have a lot of time since I've been doing other things...
Sooo Here is my Card for today's Challenge!

Card stock, Ink - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper - DCWV
Felt Flowers - Oriental Trading
Baker's Twine - Red/White
Border Punch - Martha Stewart (2x's)
Signo White Gel Pen
Cartridges - Lacy Labels (Shape #23)
Using My Design Studio I made
the sizes @ 3 x 4, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4
Life's a Beach - (Pineapple Drink)
Cut @ 2 3/4" (3x's)
(Aloha) Cut @ 1" (2x's)

Here is the side view to show the layers I added
on to the Pineapple and the Top Border

And YESSS I did the inside again! I made this
card for someone who might be going on Vacation...
The Pineapple drink reminds me of sitting on a
tropical beach somewhere.. :o) Well I hope you like
my interpretation of a Beach Theme Card!
Now... It's your turn! Please join us this week
And don't forget to stop by the Design Teams Blogs...
They've all made some wonderful creations
that you would not want to miss!

I'm also putting this in the Challenge over at :

Fantabulous Challenge - Make a project which has at least 3 flowers on it

See ya tomorrow! Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

  4. Tanya is just so funny!! I love your card, too!!
I've never had a pineapple drink while sitting on a tropical beach. Maybe I need to take one!!
Thank you for the phone call Monday night. It was so wonderful talking to you!! The love and prayers everyone has showered upon us is just awesome. I just cry everytime I think about it. I went back to work Tuesday night. Boss called Tuesday morning and told me. Really nice of her, I thought. Oh well, she isn't really known for her consideration. Then worked this morning and I know for sure tomorrow night. Don't know for the rest of the week yet. Was really busy. People trying to restock their frig. and freezers. So so sad. The seniors are the ones that get to me the most. Most are on fixed incomes and get very little food stamps. Such a shame. Sorry, I'm through ranting. Think I'll go think about that tropical beach. Oh wait, you've got another card I haven't looked at yet. See ya down there!! :)

  6. Mmmmm...your card looks yummy!!

I came over from my blog to tell you how to make that tassel that I put on my son's graduation card. I just used an acrylic block and wrapped my twine around it several times to get the correct thickness. Holding the twine together at the top to keep it lined up, I slid it off the block. I took the end of the twine sample that I cut the first batch from and wrapped it around the top. (I left a tail after wrapping it around). Cut the bottom of your tassel in two (where the twine is still looped)to complete the tassel. If some of the ends dont look even, trim the bottom to make them all the same length. Hope this makes sense. If not let me know!!
