Praying tree....

WARNING: (Another Long Post) :o)

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful
Valentine's Day Yesterday! Well...
I barely made it back home to get to
my son's school for his party! But I made it!
We decided to have a Valentine's Day
Breakfast and left early enough to eat
and head to do our taxes.. Well, We got there early...
and I warned the hubby they won't take us early
and guess what? I was RIGHT! LOL
In fact we ended up waiting 45 minutes before
our tax gal took us! Then I had to run to the store and
get a couple of items and home we went...
Showed up at 1:55pm got all the things I needed
for the class party and the kids loved it! :o) They thought
the arrows were cool and the bingo game was great
and I gave it to the teacher afterward and told her to keep it
for herself or for another teacher to use... I mean
I laminated it so it should last a long time! :o)
I also forgot to mention that I had told you on Thursday
that I need to make 24 "Hello" cards for the MIL...
Well I got only about 14 done over the weekend...
and when I was making the arrow pieces I HAD to
use my Gypsy....  Now you all have heard me say
it's not my favorite tool... I had to use it because I let a friend
borrow my Sweethearts cartridge and she hasn't return
it just yet.... so luckily I have it linked to my
gypsy... well I was having difficulty with using that
darn thing and I did eventually get my pieces cut...
but then I realized I had asked for the Gypsy
A-Z DVD by Above Rubies Studio for Christmas
and I did get it and thought....Hummm
maybe I should take a look at this thing!
Well after some time watching the
video I learned a few things about my Gypsy I didn't know...
Sooo then I spent a little time
creating some things in it and felt a
little better about owning this thing!
Now I'm not in LOVE with it yet... but
I'm starting to have a fondness for it! tehehehe...
I showed my hubby what
I had learned from the video that I didn't know
and he said he was glad to see I'm at least trying to use it....
Sooo there is still hope for me yet! LOL
Now today I need to make some type of
snack for tonight cause I'm having a
Stampin' Up Party... You all know
How much I LOVE Stampin' Up...
And I still have to make 16 cards
by Thursday for my card swap... and
I still have 10 more cards to make for my MIL!
Soooo I have a lot of work ahead of me still....
Heck I'm just tired after reading all of this myself! hehehe
Here's a card for ya! :o)

Everything is Stampin' Up
Cartridges - Lacey Labels (Frame)
#50 Cut @ 5" with Shadow
Heritage (Tree) Cut @ 3 1/2"
with the Shadow feature....

Well.... I think I've rambled on
long enough for the past 2 days... :o)
I thank you for reading my silly posts
and coming here to look at my cards!
I'll be back tomorrow and I hope to
see ya here! Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

(Prepare to read a long story & Several Photo's) :o)

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!
Ahhh... Love is in the Air.... Or maybe I just
tooted! LOL.... I've had a busy weekend that
I didn't get much in the crafting department done...
I mean I got stuff done but not the stuff I
would rather get done and post for you! :o)
I found out on Wednesday that I had to help out
in Hunter's second grade class... when I actually
only volunteered to make/bake something for
his class.... apparently 3 of us parents volunteered
to bring in something but never said we would
be in charge or plan the party... Usually the teacher
does that.... but my son's teacher doesn't and since no
one actually volunteered to be the Coordinator the 3
of us kind of got stuck.... and since I'm one of those
people who don't mind taking charge (bossy) LOL
I pretty much called the other 2 parents and we planned
it out and now I need to be in his class at 2pm.... Well
I also have scheduled to get my taxes done at 11am...
Now most of you have heard me say we live faarrrrr
away from things... well... Our taxes are done in another town about
45mins. to an hour away..... and you know tax people...
they never start on time! hehehe
I had planned to go have lunch with the hubby as our Valentine's day
treat since we were going to a bigger town.... but because of the travel
distance we are going down there and doing the taxes and coming right
back up here so I can be in the classroom on time! I made bingo cards
for a game and used my brand new
Your Story to laminate them.... this way
I can give it to the teacher to keep for next years
class or the next and so on! :o)
I cut out about 182 3/4" hearts for the bingo game....
then luckily I saw over at Everyday Cricut with
Guest designer Carrie from Greenbean's crafterole
A cute project that the kids can put together themselves...
which is this cute "Love Arrow" Craft using a pencil
and so I cut out the hearts and the arrow feather part....
and I have some removable glue dots so the kids can use the
pencils when they're done playing with them....
and then I baked pan cookies to take for the treat!
Well... now that I've Bored you
to death! :o) here are a couple of pictures....

I used the Spring Holidays Cartridge!
Everything was cut @ 3"

Hunter picked out the Lady Bug for
the girls in his class and he chose the scallop
border as well.... I added
some Faux Stitching to them...

For the boys.... Hunter chose the
really cool skulls... and the stamp border...
This card stock had the dots already on them...
I believe it was from Echo Park...

I used the (To: & From:) Stamps
from joyslife.com... The set is called
"All around Sentiments Stamps"
And Hunter signed them before I
put the boxes together!

The 3" boxes fit (2) snack size candies perfectly!
Once I got everything cut out... it was
fairly easy to put together!

Here is my very last Valentine's Day card!

Cartridge- Love Struck (Couple) Cut @ 2 1/4"
George & Basic Shapes (Circle) Cut @ 2 1/2"
Border Punch - Fiskars (Treading Water)
Black Card Stock, Stamp, Ink - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper, Sticker border - Basic Grey (Bitter Sweet)

I want to wish you all a very, very
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
and I hope you get to spend a little
quality time with the ones you love!
I'll be back here tomorrow with
more to share and a card to show!
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

slacked off from doing cards...
I had a request to make 24 "Hello"
cards for my MIL and I've totally

Cricut Cardz Challenge # 61

Hello and Happy Wednesday everyone!
Today is a fun Challenge over at
we are to make a Valentine's Day Card using
any Cartridges, and the colors blue, green,
and white ONLY! WOW! Talk about a challenge...
This one was another one of those I had to think
about since common colors for Valentine's Day
are red, Pink, white, even browns,blacks.... Sooo this
is what I came up with! :o)

This is a 4 3/4" Square Card...
Card Stock, Design Paper, Ink, Brads - Stampin' Up
Cartridges - Simply Charmed (Hearts) Cut @
1 3/4" and 2"
Disney Best of Pixar (Mike) Cut @ 3 1/4"
Face Stamp - Peachy Keen (Monster Face) 1"
Signo Gel Pen

The outside and inside sentiment I came with
on my own and used my Word program to
type and print.... I used the RGB codes for
the Color Not Quite Navy from Stampin Up...
Ribbon is from Papertrey Ink

I really like how this turned out for this particular challenge...
I also have a question for you... My 15 1/2 yr. old son wants
to give a young lady he likes a Valentine... I told him to
give her this card... He thought maybe it was to childish...
But since they are not dating or anything and he just wants
to let her know he likes her... don't you think this card would
be perfect for that? He asked me to put this question up
here and to see the response... You know "MOM" doesn't
really know anything.... Soooo we are asking your opinion...
Please let me know in the comment section....
I hope you all like my card and I can't wait
to see what you come up with for this Challenge...
and check out what the other Design Team members
have created and take the challenge yourself
and I'll make sure I stop by your blogs to say HI!
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Birthday Bug...

Hello and Happy Thursday Everyone!
The weeks are flying by... I can't believe
we are already into February and Valentine's
Day is just around the corner! Now if only the
weather would warm up... Boy that would be GREAT!
I had someone ask me to make some children's cards
as well as Sympathy.. So I thought I would post one of the
kid cards I made... Using my Gypsy to design it as well... :o)

Ok... Granted... I'm making simple designs using my gypsy...
you have to give me some props for using it at all right? :o)

Card Stock, Ink, Stamp, Window Punch - SU
Design paper - DCWV (Celebration Stack)
Cartridge - Birthday Bash (Lady Bug) Cut @
4" and in the booklet it shows the ladybug
holding the #4 but since I don't put numbers on cards
that are requested... I thought it would be fun to
have her holding a group of gifts.... I used the
Card Feature and cut the presents out @ 2 1/2"
I used a Fiskar Border punch as well...
I thought this came out really cute... Let me know
what you think! I'll be back here on Monday...
So enjoy the rest of your week/and weekend...
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!!
