Post #3 - $ Tree Remodel (Last One)

Hello & Happy Friday Everyone! Yay, it's the weekend!
I've still got lots to do and little time to do it in - So
hopefully I will be able to get some stuff off my long list! 😉

In the meantime, I've got 1 more $ Tree remodel to show you!

I saved my FAVORITE one for last!!! hahaha

I created this Adorable Witch sign! I LOOVE it!!!
I haven't added the Ribbon for hanging it yet, it's on my list!

The Vinyl I had in my stash, The cute Broom Sticks I found
at Target in their $ Bin (It's an 8 pk) The tiny Coffee stickers
were in my stash and I colored the black pieces on the cups
so they would blend in with my sign - The Steam is vinyl but I used
a die to make them - The Sentiment is from the Silhouette Store
I used a White Chalk Spray paint from Walmart and I used
some grey acrylic paint from my stash & some jumbo craft sticks

Items from the $ Tree -
1 Beware Sign, 3 Witches signs, Brown Mailing Wrapping Paper

I started by taking apart the witch signs, I used my Mod Podge Spray
to spray the hat & boots so the glitter wouldn't fall off -
Then I added some Stickles to the hat and boots since
a lot of the glitter was off (I mean it is from the $ store) LOL

Then I flipped the Beware sign over and used my White Chalk Spray paint
to paint the backside - Once it was dry, I made some pencil lines
going across the board (to make it look like wood) Then I used my grey
acrylic paint by dry brushing it on the edges and then down
the pencil lines I made - Once that dried - I wanted to attach
The hat and boots. so I flipped my sign back over
where the "Beware" was facing up and flipped my witch
hats and boots down so I can attach them together -
I grabbed a bunch of the jumbo craft sticks and hot glued
the sticks to the hat, boots, and sign base - I did
it all the way across so everything was secure -

Then I took some brown mailing wrapping paper
and traced the entire sign - I didn't want to have the
sticks and beware sign showing on the back -
I'm just weird like that, so I traced and then cut the
whole image out by hand - Then I glued it to the
backside so nothing was showing -

Once that was done, I flipped my sign back over so I could decorate it
 - I did some measuring so I would know
how big to make my sentiment for cutting out -
Then I picked the colors of vinyl to match up with the
fun witches - Once the words were placed I then hot glued
the 2 brooms onto my sign (1 on each end) -
then I wanted to add the small coffee cups so I went thru my stash and
found some that would work, except they were brown
so I got out my black sharpie marker and colored the
areas that needed it and then glued them down -
I used the Cheery Lynn Designs (You can brew it) Die set
for the steam -

I really, really like this sign and can't
wait to hang it up in my kitchen! It's just so fun!

Have a BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND!!

Post #2 - Remake of $ Tree products

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
I'm back with another Make-over of
$ tree products again... it was another video
that had me going... HECK YES! I want to make it!

I created the Stand and remade over that Lantern -
The Green pumpkin is from the $ Tree as well...
and the Wooden Leaf I had in my stash of wood projects
for about 2 years now that I finally made over -

Let's start with the Stand since I used several
items from the $ tree -

1 Glass Candleholder, 1 pk. of burner covers,
1 Halloween lantern, 1 pk of cutting mats,
1 nautical rope, 1 orange pumpkin, 1 pack of fall Raffia

The Candleholder was covered with 2 toilet paper rolls and
trimmed down to fit flush with the top of the candleholder then
I glued the orange pumpkin upside down into the
glass candle holder making it secure -
Then I used a hot glue gun and wrapped the rope around the bottom base

I sanded then spray painted 1 of the burner covers after it was dry I
attached it to the pumpkin bottom and now I have a Stand!

The Lantern top was opened and I removed the orange Halloween
design, I used it as a template - I took one of the clear
chopping mats and traced the design then cut it out of the clear mat
I made sure it fit and trimmed where it was needed -
I put that to the side and added some painters tape around
the candle that's attached inside the lantern - I didn't want that painted -
Then I bought a can of Rust-Oleum Hammered Brown Spray paint
and sprayed the lantern... it took only a few minutes & drying time was pretty
fast as well - I then put the new clear inside piece back into the lantern and
closed it up, made sure it still lit up and it did then I added
some Fall Raffia around the top and hot glued an acorn as well -
It looks like metal and not plastic which is so cool!

The Wooden leaf was spray painted as well then I found
some old Stampin' Up Designer paper that I traced
out of the leaf, cut it to size then Mod Podged it
right to the leaf - I sanded the edges then inked the
edges a bit and I thought about adding a sentiment to
the leaf, but like how it looks right now -

This really did turn out so nice and I like the look of it -

Have a FABULOUS DAY!!

$ Store Remakes...

Hello & Happy Tuesday Everyone!
How was your weekend? Mine was Awesome!
WHY??? You Ask... Well...
My middle son Juston whose a Marine
finally came home for good! We were so excited
to pick him up at the airport and bring him home!

Here he is... a Civilian once again and
being nice so his Mom could take his picture!

I've had little time for crafting lately since
so much is happening/Changing in my life...
Nothing bad mind you.. just stressful and
I worry a lot so that doesn't help me... :)

But I've been watching Youtube videos -
Can you say TROUBLE!! Cuz I think I found
myself in trouble, doing another craft hobby!

Redoing items from the Dollar Tree! Yup.. You read that right!
I've been amazed but some of the videos I've been
watching that I thought I would try it myself -
Which has now got me going into 4 different Dollar Trees
on any given day before or after work! LOL

So.... Let me share one of my remakes I did
find time to do -

Aren't they wonderful??? I LOVE Fall, so I had to make something
fun to hang on the wall - I made 2 of them, so I could send one to a friend of mine -

Okay... So I only purchased the Cutting boards from
the Dollar Tree - They looked like this --

I painted them with Spray paint that I had on hand
Then found the Pumpkin Spice Print on Google Search
and printed them out... I did resize them to fit my boards -
Then I Mod Podge them onto the cutting boards -

After they dried I dressed them up with Jute Twine
I had but it is from the $ Store
The Tiny Acorns are from Hobby Lobby I got a year ago
The Metal leaf on the one sign is from Oriental Trading
The wooden leaves are from Hobby Lobby from a yr. ago
The wooden Pumpkins are from $ Tree & Target $ bin from last yr.

Anyway... I hope you like my remake - It was fun to do
and I have a couple more to show you
Plus I did find time on Sunday to make cards! YAY
So, I'll be sharing them soon as well!

Have a Fabulous Day!

Trendy Twine - Interactive Maze

Hello and Happy Thursday Crafty Friends!
I'm back as Guest Designer for Trendy Twine!

This month they are featuring Aqua Licorice Trendy Twine

I created this fun maze shaker interactive card --

I found a maze design in my Silhouette Program, so I sized it
up and printed it out as my guide - Then I took some Adhesive glue
and added it to the maze print out and then added the Twine on top
so it would make the shape of the maze -

I added 1 tiny bead so you could play with the maze -
It works because I could not stop playing with it!

I dressed up the inside of my card to match the front -
I love the small To GO Coffee and sweet sentiments!

The Sentiment stamps are from Annie's Paper Boutique

adding another layer behind it in a soft blue and
then popped it up with some Fun Foam -
I used some Sparkle Shimmer Spritz & Clear Gems to finish it off!
