Live like a Butterfly....

Hello & Happy Friday Crafty Friends!!
Another week has gone by and I'm excited for the weekend!!!
Still very busy running around and hope one of
these days things will lighten up!

I've had this card sitting on my desk for
a long while - It's a FOILED CARD!!
You guys know I LOVE to FOIL!!!
But I just never put it together, so I
finally sat down and put everything together and
I gotta say... I LOVE the way it turned out!!

I'm using Digital Images from Polka Dot Orchard

So I used my Laser printer and printed out the sentiment & Butterflies
on a piece of vellum -
Then I grabbed some Pink/Gold Foil and placed it through
my laminator and everything came out beautifully -

I hand cut the butterflies, cuz I wanted 1 for the inside of my card

Then I Laser printed this fabulous design on a piece of
Neenah Solar White cardstock and grabbed a piece of
Pink Fushia Foil and put it through my laminator as well

I made sure to leave enough space on my vellum to over hang on
my white cardstock piece and attached the two together
so no adhesive would show through - Then I cut a piece of
Gold Foiled Cardstock out and attached them all together
and added some Fun Foam to the back for Dimension
and adhered it all to a White Card base -

The Butterflies were attached with Multi-Matte Medium glue and
I just added glue where the foiled design is so it wouldn't show through -
I added a piece of Gold foil strip to the inside to complete
my card - I also added a couple of Lucy's Cards Gems -

This looks so elegant up close and in person!!!

**** And just so you know... I took the image (Above)
and enlarged it so I could just get the butterfly
images... then I erased what I didn't want
and sized my butterflies accordingly -

That's one of the benefits of digital stamps
they can be sized up or down and you
can remove sections you don't want -
Most regular stamps you can't do that with -
so it's a nice way to get even more creative with what
you have!!! ****

Have a Magical Weekend!!

Trendy Baker's Twine - Flip Flops

Hello and Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!
I'm back as Guest Designer for Trendy Twine!

This month they are featuring Classic Navy Trendy Twine

I created a Fun Summertime Card --

What do ya think of my Flip Flops??

The Flip Flop die set I'm using is from Stamps of life

I put adhesive on a small piece of white cardstock then proceeded to
add the Classic Navy trendy twine across it in rows - once I got
enough twine on I put the flip flop dies on it and put it through
my Sizzix machine - They cut out beautifully -

I used navy cardstock for the top portion of the flip flops,
then I used some designer paper for the flowers that sit
on top of the flip flops!

I'm using a Digital Image called: Summer Days Digital Cluster
The DP is from Recollections (Pool-Riffic) 6x6 pad
I've got some Doodlebug Sprinkles on my card and I'm
using a stitched rectangle frame die from MCT

Of course, I had to dress up the inside for ya too!
I used some Navy Cardstock for the Flip Flop and then
I die cut out the strap to the Flip Flop with some Classic
Navy Trendy Twine and then added the flower on top of that!

The Sentiment stamp is from Annie's Paper Boutique

It's called SMILE

it has such SWEET sentiments and I love the
variety - This is a must-have for crafters!

Square Birthday Ombre....

Hello & Happy Friday Everyone! Yay it's the weekend!
*** This is a Pre-Scheduled Post ***

I made another lovely Birthday card
for a co-worker...

I don't know about you guys... But, do you have a stash of stamps & dies
you haven't even used yet? But HAD to have when you saw them on
a video at let's say... Jennifer McGuire's Youtube Channel??

Raising hand very slowly to say MEEE!! I order them, I organize them
and then I eventually get around to using them! 😛

This beautiful die is no exception! It's a pretty Memory Box die called
Sensational Butterfly Collage
And I SOOOO LOVE IT!!!

I have to tell ya... I DID NOT Distress the paper either! WHAT?
Yup... I found this PRETTY Ombre Designer Paper in the
Silhouette Store! So, I HAD to print it out and it's sooo pretty
when printed out on white smooth Bazzill cardstock!

My card base is a 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 square card using (Neenah Solar White)
Then I used a Lawn Fawn stitched square die on
my ombre digital paper and added some Fun Foam behind it
I attached the butterfly die cut on top of that and added
some glitter to my butterfly with a Sakura glitter pen
Then I sealed the glitter in with a Clear Glaze Sakura Pen

Not wanting my Butterfly to hid I used a strip of Vellum to place
across my card front and Die Cut out the "Birthday" word 4x's
in some black cardstock backed with Stick it adhesive
Layered them all together then worked on placement

I wanted the "wishes" word to stand out too, so I decided
to use Black Embossing powder on that word -
I added some lovely clear adhesive gems...
and that's my card!!!

As my vacation comes to an end
I'll be getting ready to play
Blog commenting catch up -
So please be patient while I try to leave you
wonderful crafty peeps some love!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a FANTASTIC WEEKEND!!!

Happy Butterfly Heart....

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
How's your week going? Mine is Crazy busy -
School starts back up in 2 1/2 weeks! YIKES!
I've been cleaning like crazy trying to get the school
in order - Teachers keep Popping in (Driving me Nuts)
and Stressing me out! Everyone wants their room done!

Ummm... I know this already and can only clean so fast!
It's not like we have a huge staff of cleaners roaming the building
It's just ME and my Son - THAT'S IT!!

So, I ask them to be patient and
tell them to come back to school on
Aug. 1st - That gives them 2 weeks to get their
stuff in order and hopefully I might get a small break
before school starts! Geesh!

I'm actually looking forward to school starting -
I feel like that's when my vacation starts! hahaha

Anywho ... can you tell I'm stressed?? 😨

I made a couple of Birthday cards for the staff
I thought you might like to see them-

I made a 2 for 1 card! I like those! How about you?

I'm using some Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and Distress Inks
Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feather, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet
I'm also using the Butterfly Heart Stamp from Victorine Originals

I heat embossed the Butterfly Heart first with some Fine White
Embossing Powder - Then I did the Smooshing Technique
I Let my Acrylic block sit longer on my watercolor
paper so it could give it the vibrant color that you see -
I let it dry completely before I cut it in 1/2 to make 2 cards -

Then I took another piece of White cardstock and colored it
in the same colors (Blending them this time) So I could
Die Cut those Stitched butterflies to match -

The backgrounds on both cards were made using the Distress Spray Stains
Mowed Lawn, Blueprint Sketch, Mustard Seed, & Wilted Violet

I added some Black strips behind the main image
and then die cut a couple of stitched banners out and
used some white embossing powder on the Happy Birthday
Sentiments - Then I added some Clear Adhesive gems
Popped both up with fun foam onto white card bases -

The Theme this week is Butterfly!!

How AWESOME IS THAT!!! Thank You SVG Cutting Files!!

-- Here's what I created to inspire you --

I created my cards in the Silhouette Program using Some Digital
Papers from Down this Road (Live, Laugh, Play) Collection
Then I die cut everything out with my Cameo -
My Stitched Rectangle dies are from My Creative Time
I added dimensionals under the butterflies to make them POP
and added some Clear Adhesive gems for some sparkle.
The sentiment Stamp is from Jaded Blossom called
(Sweet Birthday Wishes)

I needed a second card, so I made another one, without the
Butterflies this time - I added some Clear Gloss to the centers
of the Flowers and both cards are spritzed with Sheer
Shimmer Frost. They sparkle & shine! :)
The Thanks word die is from Pink N Main cut 3x's
and then layered on top of each other.
