'Tis the Season... Home Decor'

 Hello & Happy Halloween Everyone!
It's Saturday and I'm trying to take it easy today
after last weeks back issues - I'm still
trying to get things done but not working as hard - :)

I've got my last Halloween project to share with you -
It's another Dollar Store Makeover -

I simply LOVE how this one turned out -

As you can tell, I made over a Haunt House Sign $ tree had -
I sanded this bad boy first and removed the paper design then
I used some White Primer paint

I used my Glittery Black Acrylic Paint to cover the front & Sides
then I used some White Paint to dry brush around the edges
I added some Mod Podge and let it dry

I found the cute Sentiment from my Silhouette program
and cut out the words with different colored vinyl

The Spider webs are cut out in vinyl on dies from
My Creative Time

and the Glittery Ghost is from the $ tree - It was in a package of
6? I think? It's wood and I Hot glued it down off to the side -

This is sitting on a shelf in my living room and I could not be happier
with how it turned out!

THANK YOU for coming along with me on my
weeks-long Halloween projects!

I really do hope I have more time to sit down and type out
blog posts and maybe even visit my favorite blogs for a change...
I know I'll get there so please be patient with me!

I'm wishing you all a FABULOUS HALLOWEEN!
Eat lots of Candy and enjoy time with your kids!

This Witch Home Decor'

 Happy Friday Crafty Friends!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVE!
Are you able to take the little ones out
for Trick or Treating? OR are you trying to be safer
about it this year due to Covid?

Since I don't have any little ones, I'll be staying in -
We live far away from others with children so
no trick or treaters are coming my way -
Our small town is having a Trunk or Treat that everyone
can participate in, but I've got a lot going on still
so maybe next year I'll be able to join in. :)

I still have 2 posts left to share my Halloween projects
and I want to THANK YOU if you've been checking back ALL week!
I spent an entire evening writing out all the posts
for this week (when my back went out on me)
It took me a while to write them because I had to stop
due to the pain - Don't worry it's better now...
My body was just reminding me to take a break
from all the home renovations, so I DID! :)

Here's another Halloween Home Decor Remake
that I made using a Wooden Witch Hat I found
at a Target Bullseye Section - :)

I honestly didn't have to do too much to this one -
It was already painted black and has black glitter
around the edges -
I sanded it a little bit and added some
dry brush white paint - Then I Mod Podged it before
adding my vinyl sentiment that I found in the Silhouette store
The Spider Webs and Spider are dies from My Creative time

This is sitting on my Coffee Bar next to my other Witch Sign I
shared over a week ago - Super FUN & CUTE!

See ya Tomorrow!
Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Spooktacular Slim Line Card

 Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
I hope your week is moving along quickly -
I've got another pre-scheduled post to share -
and it's another Halloween card! YAY!

I actually made this card months ago...
Like before I moved! LOL
Hey, sometimes you just want to make a Halloween card in April!

This was the 1st Slim Line card I made back in April
with some new Slim Line dies (at the time) from Trinity Stamps

The designer paper was from a paper kit (WeR Memory - Retro Glam Kit)
I had and shared several other projects from - I thought the colors were perfect for Halloween cards so I ended up making 2 different ones -
I'll share the other one tomorrow! :)

The images & Sentiment are from Pink and Main (Spooktacular)
and I've had them colored up
for a while sitting in one of my craft bags - I watercolored the
images with my Zig real brush pens & Bristol Cardstock
I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the images

I added some assorted gems from my stash

I think it turned out so cute!

See Ya Tomorrow!
Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

Jack O Lantern Decor'

 Happy Sunday Everyone!
I hope this post finds you all well!

I'm gonna try and make this a quick post and
it has been pre-scheduled because as I said yesterday
my time is very limited - :)

Here's another Fun Halloween Makeover
of a $ store sign -

Here's how I made it ---

1.) I Sanded the entire front of the original design and
peeled off whatever was there
2.) I painted it with some white primer
3.) I used some painters tape to separate
the pumpkin shape from the lower portion
4.) Then I painted the pumpkin portion and sides with some
orange acrylic paint
5.) I went back over the pumpkin with one or two shades
of a tan paint just to add some dimension
6.) I painted the lower portion with some black glitter acrylic paint
7.)  Then I dry brushed on some white paint to give it a spooky feel
8.) I painted on some Mod Podge and let it dry
9.) I went into my Silhouette program and picked out
a pumpkin face and cut it out with some black vinyl
10.) Found a Sentiment it the Silhouette and edited it a
little bit to fit on my sign then cut out the different words
with assorted vinyl colors
11.) I used some Spider dies from My Creative Time and die cut
them out with white vinyl
12.) Then I went back in with some Papertrey Ink Twine
and twisted it around the lower portion of the pumpkin and tied a bow.

It looks cool on my shelf in the living room!

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Home Decor' Remake Project...

 Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!
How has your week gone? how bout' the weekend so far?
Mine? busy, busy... So busy that I hurt my lower back!
It's been a while since I did that... I believe the last time was
back in Dec. 2019 - Soooo it was bound to happen sooner or later -

We are still chugging along with the kitchen but I'm taking it easy
this weekend because of my lower back pain, so I thought I
would sit down and write out a few posts-

You guys know I love Fall and Halloween and I've only shared one
thing so far... I did make a couple of things for the Fall season -
I even took some time to actually make 3 Cards -
I haven't made a card since March? maybe April?

So, I'm hoping to share them this next week -
I think I'm just gonna make a quick post every day til
Halloween so you can see what I've been up to
since getting a small craft space started -

I can't even be online more than once a week, so I apologize
now that I still haven't been able to get to most of your blogs -
I think I got on Facebook once... it's just hard and time-consuming
and the house IS consuming my life more than anything else at the moment. :)

So... here is another home decor project I did -
I got this sign from a teacher at my old job -

She was going to toss it out but when I saw
it, I told her what I see in the shape, and she
said go ahead and take it - just let me see what
you did when you finish it -

Well... here's what I did with it!

Isn't he the cutest? OMGOSH...
I think this turned out adorable and it's sitting by my front entry -

And YES! I did send her the pictures and she loved it! :)

What I did -----

1.) I sanded the sign down
2.) I painted it with a white primer
3.) I painted it with 2 shades of greens (acrylic paint)
4.) I dry brushed the edges and lines with a grey acrylic paint
5.) I painted my canvas with Mod Podge and let dry
6.) Went into my Silhouette program and found 2
different images and took parts from both to create this guy
7.) I picked out a few assorted colors of vinyl & cut out the pieces
8.)  Layered all the vinyl cuts on my sign to create this adorable Frankie!

When my sister came over she couldn't believe how cute
he turned out and I was like... I know... Right? I so love him!

Anyway... That's what I got for now!

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

Trendy Twine Spook-Tacular!

Hello and Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!
I'm back as Guest Designer for Trendy Twine!

This month they are featuring Black Licorice Trendy Twine

So PERFECT for HALLOWEEN!!

I decided to make a FUN Halloween card with Scraps!!!

This one was super easy to put together!

I just used the scraps that I had leftover from the
Metal Treat Tin I Made earlier this month (Click Here)

What happened was I made the candy nugget strips a little
longer than I thought so I had to cut them down and
it left me with these little pieces which worked perfectly for this card!

I added all the little scrap pieces to a 3 x 3 1/2
piece of cardstock then grabbed a couple of smaller strips in
purple & green to go across my card front and of course,
added some of that cool Black Licorice Twine
and fun Halloween Sentiment and placed it on top of a white
stitched rectangle card front - then I added a cute image
I colored up last year and popped the whole thing up
on some Fun foam and attached it to an orange card base!
I added some sequins for fun and now it's ready to be mailed off!

The Sentiment Stamp is from

I made another FUN WHIMSICAL Treat for a fellow Co-Worker -

and added some more Hershey's Nuggets
Then grabbed my Witch hat die and attached it
to the top of my treat! I used some Black Licorice Twine
on my witch hat, then glued the buckle over it and then
used some Clear wink of Stella to glitter it up -

I die cut out a stitched banner and used a fun
Sentiment and placed it across my treat bag and then
I die cut out a couple more spiders and trimmed them down
to fit around the banner sentiment -

Trendy Twine Ghost Candy...

Hello and Happy Monday Crafty Friends!
I'm back as Guest Designer for Trendy Twine!

This month they are featuring Black Licorice Trendy Twine

So PERFECT for HALLOWEEN!!

I decided to decorate a Fun Tin!

I wanted to make a FUN WHIMSICAL Treat for a fellow Co-Worker -

So I started with die cutting out a Ghost!
Then I added adhesive to the front of my ghost cardstock and
attached the Black Licorice Twine - I trimmed off around the
bottom to give it that wavy look - once it was
done it seemed plain so I decided to make it a Female ghost!

So I grabbed some of my Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine
and cut some small strips to make the Hair & a mouth - I attached
everything with some Multi-Matte Medium Glue - Then I
grabbed a piece of Totally White Trendy Twine and proceeded
to make her a bow for her hair! The Ghost die I have
has eyes so I glued them on her and then I die cut another
tiny white circle to give her a nose -

I wanted my ghost on a tag, so I die cut a tag out and added
some Halloween Washi tape to it - then I die cut out the
wonky shape where I added a Fun Sentiment -

Since my tag was ready, I was ready to add some
candy to my tin - I cut 12 strips of 1" x 3" Halloween Paper
and wrapped my Hershey Nuggets around them - I
glued them down with the Multi-Matte Glue, after they
dried I added them inside my tin and then added a
couple more strips of Halloween paper to wrap
around my Tin - I added a little more Black Licorice Twine
and made a bow through the tag - and it's ready to give out
to my favorite co-work!

Post #3 - $ Tree Remodel (Last One)

Hello & Happy Friday Everyone! Yay, it's the weekend!
I've still got lots to do and little time to do it in - So
hopefully I will be able to get some stuff off my long list! 😉

In the meantime, I've got 1 more $ Tree remodel to show you!

I saved my FAVORITE one for last!!! hahaha

I created this Adorable Witch sign! I LOOVE it!!!
I haven't added the Ribbon for hanging it yet, it's on my list!

The Vinyl I had in my stash, The cute Broom Sticks I found
at Target in their $ Bin (It's an 8 pk) The tiny Coffee stickers
were in my stash and I colored the black pieces on the cups
so they would blend in with my sign - The Steam is vinyl but I used
a die to make them - The Sentiment is from the Silhouette Store
I used a White Chalk Spray paint from Walmart and I used
some grey acrylic paint from my stash & some jumbo craft sticks

Items from the $ Tree -
1 Beware Sign, 3 Witches signs, Brown Mailing Wrapping Paper

I started by taking apart the witch signs, I used my Mod Podge Spray
to spray the hat & boots so the glitter wouldn't fall off -
Then I added some Stickles to the hat and boots since
a lot of the glitter was off (I mean it is from the $ store) LOL

Then I flipped the Beware sign over and used my White Chalk Spray paint
to paint the backside - Once it was dry, I made some pencil lines
going across the board (to make it look like wood) Then I used my grey
acrylic paint by dry brushing it on the edges and then down
the pencil lines I made - Once that dried - I wanted to attach
The hat and boots. so I flipped my sign back over
where the "Beware" was facing up and flipped my witch
hats and boots down so I can attach them together -
I grabbed a bunch of the jumbo craft sticks and hot glued
the sticks to the hat, boots, and sign base - I did
it all the way across so everything was secure -

Then I took some brown mailing wrapping paper
and traced the entire sign - I didn't want to have the
sticks and beware sign showing on the back -
I'm just weird like that, so I traced and then cut the
whole image out by hand - Then I glued it to the
backside so nothing was showing -

Once that was done, I flipped my sign back over so I could decorate it
 - I did some measuring so I would know
how big to make my sentiment for cutting out -
Then I picked the colors of vinyl to match up with the
fun witches - Once the words were placed I then hot glued
the 2 brooms onto my sign (1 on each end) -
then I wanted to add the small coffee cups so I went thru my stash and
found some that would work, except they were brown
so I got out my black sharpie marker and colored the
areas that needed it and then glued them down -
I used the Cheery Lynn Designs (You can brew it) Die set
for the steam -

I really, really like this sign and can't
wait to hang it up in my kitchen! It's just so fun!

Have a BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND!!
