Day 3 Blogaversary and a Special Guest!

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
I sure did! The weather is looking great and
I got a bunch of cards done at my Crop! Of course
I still have to make a bunch of graduation cards....
Sooo I guess that's next on the list! :o) Today we have
a Special Guest Designer with us! I'm gonna tell ya a little
story first... I don't know if I told ya this before or not but
my sister Mi-Mi didn't start scrapbooking/cardmaking until
I showed her how to do it! Yes... this is true! She came down
to help me out a couple of years ago when my husband
was ill and it was pretty close to my boys birthdays....
and I told her I needed to make some birthday cards
for my kids so she sat with me while I was getting
ready to make them and I said would you like to
make them a card?   And she was like I guess... HOW?
Sooo I gave her some pointers and we started talking
about crafting and my supplies.... and the next thing I know
she was HOOKED! I mean really hooked! Within a few weeks
of her going home I got her addicted to Ebay and crafting supplies!
And the rest was history! LOL Well the same thing goes for our
Special Guest today! She too didn't do anything with crafting....
until a couple of years ago when she said to me.... I gotta buy
some Christmas cards! I shutter at that thought! :o)
When I replied.... Why buy them? I can show you how to make
them and you can use my supplies! She thought about it
and said sure why not.... Soo we spent some time together
and we made some really pretty Christmas cards she could
send out to her family... and then she too was Hooked!
She would ask me were I got some things and she
started "Collecting" her own little supplies and at Christmas
time I surprised her with Basic Crafting supplies everyone
should have on hand and now this woman makes cards all the time!
In fact she is in my card swap group too! :o) And this other
Person who is our Very Special Guest today is our MOM!!!!
Yup.. I asked my mom if she would make an
anniversary card for our 1 year blogaversary and she did!
YEAAAAA MOM!

So Please Welcome our Mom
Karen
as today's Guest Designer!

I don't think my mom expected me to show a picture of her!
Sorry MOM! But as a guest designer we need to show the
lovely person behind the project! :o)

Isn't her card pretty? I love how it turned out!
This is a 5" Square Card
Card stock, Ink, Punches - Stampin' Up
Designer Paper - DCWV (Luxury Stack)
Stamp - Inkadinkadoo
Cuttlebug Embossing folder - Swirls
Cartridge - Lacey Labels (Frame) Cut @ 2 1/4"
Blue Ribbon - Walmart
Blue Pearls - Kaiser Craft
Silver Filigree Flowers & Brads - Oriental Trading

She even did the inside.... How great is that! :o)
She normally wouldn't write down how she made
a card so that was a challenge for her! But I think
she did an AWESOME Job! :o)

Now... onto the next part.... THE GIVEAWAY!!

Graduation Announcements....

Hello and Happy Wednesday everyone!
We are in the Middle of the week... Hump Day
some would call it! My Kids are awaiting Summer
Vacation more and more... They're all getting anxious
for it to finally end... My Oldest is actually
all done with school.... He's just waiting for Graduation Day
to arrive! My youngest only has about another week left and
tonight he tells me.... Mommy... It's tooooo long to wait a week...
Can't I stay home now! LOL I told him, I'm just as excited as he
is for school to end and we can both wait just a little while longer!
Of course he says that about everything... (I can't wait) is his
favorite line of all time! LOL He is feeling much better now
and has headed back to school to finish up the testing
they do at the end of the year. Of course it's my hubby's
turn to have what the boys had... His isn't as severe as
the boys but enough for him to need my help! UGGH!!!
I've been working on my cards for Friday and I've
tried really hard not to look at your blogs...  :o)
So hopefully I will have enough projects to take with
me instead of just sitting and watching everyone else create!
I guess I should just show ya what I've made so
I can get back to work! Hummmm... :o)

Card Stock, Ink, Stamps, Ribbon - Stampin' Up
Vellum - Recollections
Brads - Ebay
Font - Word Program
Grad Cap - Clip Art

Soooo.... These are my sons Graduation Announcements
I wanted something nice and yet quick to complete...
The schools mascot is a "Bucking Bronco" so the
SU stamp set fit this to a T! And yesssss
their school colors are Orange and Black...
It just reminds me of Halloween! LOL
I made about 50 of them and it took me a day in
a half to get them all done and mailed out to family
and friends... I also put a picture of my son in
between the vellum when I mailed it out....
I guess I should show you a picture of my handsome
graduate! Maybe on Graduation day I will do that!

I'm also putting this in a Challenge over at:
(Anything Goes)

Any who... That's all I got for now.... I'll see ya
tomorrow! Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

Mother's Day Bag...

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone!
How is your week going so far? Mine?
Well kind of Slloowww! I was suppose to
be making cards yesterday for my crop on
Friday.... and you know what I did instead,
pretty much all day??? I was checking out
blogs! OMGOSH! I love to check out your
blogs, but I also know I gotta get some work
done.... sooo today is the day! I will get to work
and try very, very hard to NOT LOOK at your
BLOGS! Stop making such nice things people! LOL
I also was taking care of my 8 yr. old... He caught the
stomach flu from his 2 older brothers and has gone through
some not so pretty things... This week at school they have special
testing that they are suppose to be there for... So I called and talked
to his teacher and warned her that I would send him but should he
start having to go to the bathroom to please just let him go... She said
the testing is the first hour only so hopefully he would get through it....
And he did... he called me around 11:30AM Sick to his stomach so I
went to pick him up.... and let's just say my house smells bad from all
the time he has been spending in the bathroom.... NOOOO amount
of Lysol is working on it! LOL He should be fine in a couple more days....
My older boys had it for about 5 days.... I feel really bad for all 3 of them
and pray that I don't get it! :o) I wanted to show you the bag that I made
for my mom on Mother's Day..... :o) Here ya go!

Brown Card Stock - Stampin' Up
Border Punch - EK Success
Lori's Garden Imagine Cartridge
I Flood filled a 12 x 12 Sheet
of paper with that pretty pink
Designer paper then cut it in half....

Here is the side view to show that I
designed both sides of the bag... they
look exactly the same... And the Butterfly
was cut @ 2 1/2" (4x's) For Dimension

Here's a close up of the butterfly and the
Sentiment/Frame.... I cut out the
"I LOVE YOU" Frame @ 4" and
added the extra frame layer and
another flower cut... So it has 3 layers...

Mom really liked the bag and the card! :o)
I put the Simply Charmed Cartridge inside the
bag for her as her Mother's Day Gift! :o)
That's it for today! I gotta get to work so
I'll see ya tomorrow! Have an
AWESOME DAY!!!
