Hello and Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

How have you guys been??? As you know

I was on Spring Break all last week and I

had plans to stay home and craft! Well...

That just NEVER happened! We ended up

running around every day last week... Finally,

 on Sunday, I was able to sleep in and just rest

after a crazy busy week. So now I'm trying to

play blogger catch up with all of you --

I'm hoping for Easter break in about

a week and a 1/2 that I'll be able to stay home

and maybe get some crafting done --

That is my goal... so we shall see!

In the meantime, I did have fun, Vegas

was a blast for the Hubby & myself

we got to visit with Family & friends

we hadn't seen in awhile and I got to

eat at Giordano's (my FAVORITE) Chicago

Pizza place! I knew they had one Downtown

 and we've eaten there... But going Downtown

was not something we wanted to do again...

We lived in Las Vegas so downtown is more

for the tourist which we are not! So...

While out and about getting ready to grab Brunch with

our oldest son I noticed they had opened a NEW

Giordano's Pizza off of Charleston & Rampart

I was screaming with excitement and my hubby

was totally on board with us eating there

for his Birthday Dinner... We met up with one of my

Good close friends and enjoyed the BEST PIZZA

in the world!! - Which made for an Excellent

Birthday weekend!! 

We'll be heading back to Vegas in April

for his Dr. appt and trust me when I say

Giordano's will be at the top of our list

for eating Lunch or dinner while we're there!

Anywho... Enough about my crazy week -

I do have a card to share - I made it about 2 weeks

ago and thought you might like to see it --

Dare 2B Artzy Guest Designer - Week #3

Hello & Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!

I'm back as Guest Designer for

Dare 2B Artzy during the month of January!

This is my Last Post (inserting SAD FACE)
 I have totally enjoyed my time here and can't THANK
Everyone at Dare 2B Artzy Enough for having me
be apart of their team this month!!

Now, Let's see what I made this week --

Isn't this just the Cutest??? OMGOSH! I LOVE this

adorable Penguin Fun Stamp Set

I started out by using some 110lb White Cardstock - then I Die cut a piece

of Neenah Silver Metallic Cardstock with a Postage Frame Die

I found some Stitched Slope dies in my stash & die cut them out

to create 3 different layers -- Then I pulled out a Background design 

I made using the Baby Wipe Method -

I adhered the white snow slopes to my Background design

then I used a Rectangle Stitched die to trim it down

the final size was 3 1/4 x 4 1/2

Here's a close-up, so you can see this sweet Penguin riding on his sled

and I think the sentiment says it all! He looks like he's just having a ball!!

I stamped all the images on some KOH-I-NOOR Bristol

Smooth White Watercolor paper - Then colored them

with my Zig Real Brush Pens - I added some Clear

Wink of Stella to the Hat & Scarf 

I adhered the Sled to the slope and then used some

Dimension to POP up my Penguin over the sled --

The Sentiment was made by using 2 circle dies

to help give it that curved look - then I just

fishtailed the ends to give it a banner design --

I popped the sentiment up as well and now

my card is ready to mail off!

cold & wet, so I stayed home and did some crafting!!

It's the best way to spend a dreary weekend! Am I Right??

Today's my day to take over the blog at:

Today I thought I would share a Wintry Card
I made to send to a crafty friend --

Even though Christmas is over, it's still nice to get HAPPY MAIL!
Especially now the Cold Winter months are setting in
for a lot of people - I'm sure this card will PERK her right
up and hopefully take her mind off the COLD Outside!!
Even for a little while! (wink wink)

I'm using a dark Grey Card base and a piece of DCWV Designer
paper that I had in my scrap pile --

I pulled a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper out and
stamped it with The POST CARD STAMP, then I
Stamped the SNOWMAN WITH HAT STAMP --
I used Onyx Black Versafine ink -- 

I wanted to make a snowy scene behind the snowman, so I masked off
my Snowman and used the TINY DOTTED BACKGROUND
stamp for a snow effect -- Then I colored my
snowman with some Zig Real Brush pens

I decided to just write my own sentiment on the front
since this IS a "PostCard" style card! LOL

And then I added some Gems & Snowflakes to give it
a soft, girly vibe --

Besties International Guest Designer!

Hello & HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!

I'm Super Excited today as I'm Guest Designer

for the My Besties International Challenge Blog

It's such a HUGE honor to be asked to play along with them -

The Challenge this time around is 

BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!!

So I created this sweet card to share with you --

I'm using one of the Besties Winter Wonderland images -

She was so fun to color - I printed my image out on some

watercolor paper and then sprayed my paper with 

Krylon Workable Fixatif - Since I have an inkjet printer 

I needed to spray my watercolor paper first (then let it

completely Dry) in order

for me to use my Zig Watercolor pens --

Once she was all colored, I used a Stitched Rectangle die

to cut her out - I then found some Doodlebug

Scrap papers that matched her and started to design my card -

I cut out some snowflake dies as well to tie

in with the theme and added a couple of Gems to

finish off my card!
