Beautiful Peacock....

Hello & Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I hope you all had a Fabulous weekend!!
I actually enjoyed doing nothing most of the weekend!
Of course I did some crafting, cooking, cleaning,
Hulu watching, & took my son bowling - So all in all
A pretty great weekend! Of course with that being said
that means the weekend is over! UGH! Back to work! :)

I guess if I want to support my Crafting Habit - I BETTER! LOL

I told you on Friday that I got some new dies in
so of course I HAD to make this lovely Birthday card
for another co-worker - I just LOVE this beautiful die --

Now, most of you know (PURPLE) is NOT my color of choice -
But....  It was totally PERFECT for this lovely Peacock die -
I used distress inks on white cardstock first - Cracked Pistachio,
Bundled Sage, Shaded Lilac, & Wilted Violet -
After using the distress inks, I die cut the peacock 3x's -
I always add double sided adhesive first to my CS backing -
This way the die has adhesive ready to go when cutting out -
certainly makes layering them much easier and less worry - 😏

I really like how the peacock just stands out & you really don't
need much more to add to this card -

-- Other Supplies Used --

Cardstock - Stampin' Up, Georgia Pacific, Bazzill
Stitched Card Mat Die - My Favorite Things
Loopy Rectangle Die Mat - Gina Marie Designs
Peacock Die - Purchased from Ebay
Sentiment - My Creative Time
Ranger Round Blending tools
Misti, Big Shot, Memento Black Tuxedo Ink

& Silver Moondust

I am not much of a purple girl either but this card is so lovely! I moved yesterday and now trying to get out from under all these boxes. When I packed up my craft room I could not believe how many boxes I had. Time to clean out before I set up my new room. Have a great week.

Purple's not my color, either, but it looks pretty paired with peacocks. I think I used purple when I did a peacock, too. Your card is gorgeous! Thanks for the tip on the double sided sticky paper.

A lovely card! What kind of double sided adhesive do you use on your intricate die cuts? I know I should get some. It would definitely make life a lot easier!
