Birthday Cards for MOM!!!!

Happy Thursday Everyone! :) Yesterday I had my first day of sleeping in with my 7yr. old....
We hung out and watched a little T.V. and I was able to make a couple of Cards for my Moms Birthday which is today! :) I also found out yesterday that I WON the brand new Mini Monsters Cartridge from Tammy at http://www.cricutcritters.com/.... I was soooo super thrilled to find that out... I'm lovin that new cartridge and can't wait to get it and make some really cool cards! :) She had a special Hello Thursday showing on her blog and gave away a ton of wonderful gifts.... If you've never gone to her blog I highly recommend you go.... She is sooooo super talented and can make the most amazing crafts.... She's also an expert on the gypsy...well she may say she's not....but trust me you'll learn a lot from her! :)
Anyway here are today's cards that I made, please feel free to leave a comment.
(Just a reminder that you can click on ANY Photo to get a close up of the pictures)
This is a Tri-Shutter card.... I've NEVER made one before and I'm sooo glad that I did... I think it came out pretty nice... I got the cut from http://okieladybugsscrapnmore.blogspot.com/.... Okie made this as a Cut file for the Design Studio... I know their are tutorials on how to make this card with the cut dimensions but Okie made it a whole heck of a lot easier by just letting your machine do the cutting for ya! (THANKS OKIE)
She has the cut files on her blog and it can be cut on the Expression or the Baby bug.... So anyone can make it! I used DCWV Spring Stack for the whole thing! I used a Stampin' Up Stamp for the front of the card and some butterfly punches I have and some flower punches as well.... I really think my mom is gonna love it!

This is the card my kids will be giving to their Grandmother...Normally I have them make a card for her but I kinda wanted to try and make this one myself.... I know they don't care if I do or not! LOL I saw the layout for this one in my PaperCrafts Mag. I changed the papers and moved the flower and added a different saying...but all in all I like how it turned out.... Everything is Stampin' Up except for the Flowers...those are actually some Daisy D's flowers for Fall/Halloween... It matched really well with the paper so I thought why not? LOL Anyway thanks soooo Much for stopping by and I hope you have a Wonderful Day! :)

Teacher Gift Package!

Happy Tuesday Morning Everyone! I'm soooo super excited about this post! I made a Teacher gift for my 1st graders wonderful teacher..She also happens to be my neighbor! Yup I said that right, we live in a real small town sooo you will see your teacher at the Dr. office or store or just walking down the street! :) LOL
Anyway I made everything that I'm about to show you last night. Here we go and please feel free to leave a comment! Thanks and have a Wonderful day! :)
Theresa

Ok here are the bags that I made... The Cards inside where actually made in the last few weeks...In fact I've posted some of them for you to see already. :) But the toppers are what I made last night... I Used Stampin' Up Cardstock cut at 6 x 6 1/4 folded in half,  then I used DCWV Spring Stack (I love this pack) :) Cut at 6 x 2 3/4 for the layer and used my corner punch from WeRMemory, I tied on some Stampin' Up 1/4" ribbon to match the paper... Added stamped images from Stampin' Up... And then add some flowers & Butterflies from assorted punches that I have... I thought the toppers came out sooo cute! As you can tell, I'm pretty proud of this set! :)

Now onto this wonderful gift...I made a Post it Note holder and matching topper...
The Post it Note holder I made with DCWV Spring Stack, the pen is from Walmart, I used Stamps from Stampin' Up and the scallop Punches are from SU as well... The butterfly is actually embossed (sorry poor Photo) But it is a Sizzix Diecut exclusive to SU. The Ribbon is also SU... Now if you want to know how to make these cute Post it Notes here is the link to the video ... This lovely lady is not my Stampin' Up Demonstrator but she is soooo super talented!
http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2009/06/post-it-note-pen-holder-updated-video-.html

Ok..This idea I totally got from "My Pink Stamper"...After seeing her cute gift bag made with the new Toy Story Cartridge..I thought "DUH" you can make anybag you want! Sooo I did! :) I cut the Apple at 5" on Real Dial size and used my Design studio to get all the layers to match up... NOTE: Using the real dial size will not layer correctly "only using the paper saver button will layer everything according to size"! And that is why I used my DS to layer everything correctly in the real dial size....:) The Apple cuts are from the Just Because Cartridge... I did both sides of the bag with the apple... I thought it worked out well with this glittery bag... By the way the bag is not pink..... it actually is a glittery white bag but the photo and the red color off the apple gave it that pink shine...:)

Ok..now on to my favorite part of the whole gift package...the CARD! I wanted to keep the theme of the apple that was on the bag soooo I came up with this! How totally cute is this! OMGosh... I love how this turned out! :) ok, ok... How I made it.... SU Cardstock, DCWV The Green Stack (Great paper), EK Success Punch, the Apple was cut at 2 3/4" with the DoodleCharm Cartridge, And the Cute worm is from Create a Critter. It was cut out at 2 1/2" and I used all the layers for him and both the apple and worm have inking around the edges for the shadow/depth look... and of course I had to use googlie eyes on Mr. Wormy. The "Teacher" is computer generated and I used SU punches for the layers behind the saying...
Thanks soooo much for taking a look! I can't wait to see what my sons teacher thinks of this gift! :)

Sympathy Cards...

Happy Monday to all of you! I have one day left of getting up early for school with my kids... I'm sooo excited for this break and time of year! Of course where I live it's cold today.... we are not close to warm weather as yet....today's high is suppose to be the mid 50's....I know crazy right..we should be warmer than that! :) And my Hubby was ready to turn the heater off...NOT! LOL
On to todays post...I made 2 Sympathy cards over the weekend, and really like how they came out... I used my cricut for the bird and the flowers... Let me know what ya think! Have a great day!

I made this one using the "Straight from the Nest" Cartridge.... This is such a wonderful cartridge and well worth every penny from HSN.com.... This beautiful bird was cut out at 2 3/4" with the Shadow, Reg. feature. and shift key reg. feature... I used Chocolate Chip CS, Tan color from Core'dinations, Bashful Blue... I got out some Chatterbox Designer paper and added some copper brads to this.... I thought it came out lovely! :) TFL

I made this one using Plantin Schoolbook... This cartridge is great for a lot of things and surprisingly flowers are one of them! :) There are 4 flowers layerd and they start out at 1 1/2" and go all the way up to 2 1/4", I used the shimmer paper from DCWV on them.... I added a bling brad for the center and the Designer Paper is DCWV.... I have Stampin' Up cardstock in the Chocolate Chip & Old Olive colors and then I used the Core'dinations Cardstock for the lavender/purple color that was embossed with the swirls embossing folder.... TFL!

Male Birthday Cards!

Good Afternoon Everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY! :) I'm sooo glad it's Friday...just 2 days left for the kids to go to school then I can get some Sleep! I love sleep! LOL Anywho..back to today's post.... I'm going to post some masculine Birthday cards.... they can be turned into Father's Day Cards or you can even turn them into feminine cards...How you ask? Well I know a lot of you out there have major trouble coming up with a Masculine card and I've learned it's not really that hard to do at all.... First of all having the right paper is key... We all know guys don't like Pinks & Purples on their cards... they like more neutrals and blacks, blues, greens.... So I've learned to take a card Sketch that you may find on Splitcoast stampers or on Mojo Monday or wherever you may have seen it and make it Masculine... Like these cards your about to see, they've all been done from either a sketch or a feminine card I've seen and all I did was change out the paper to more neutral colors and changed up some of the stamps/cuts... I've made them more simple too...Guys like "simple" ladies....they don't need all the extras we like to put on a card... I've learned this from my Hubby and my (3) boys and my (4) brothers.... I have way more males in my family than female soooo I've learned to adjust to that....:) If you have anything to add or a suggestion feel free to leave a comment...Thanks!

Theresa

I made this one using the Simply Sunday Sketch from Stamp with Heathers Blog... I used the Wonderful Paper Stack from DCWV called Natural...It is the perfect stack for male cards! Added some buttons , (1) Stamp, (1) Border Punch, and I made myself a masculine Birthday card!

This one is also from the DCWV Natural Stack and I used (1) Stamp, Ribbon and some nestabilities and there you go a masculine card! :)

I actually made this card last night... Same Stack and (2) stamps, ribbon and their you go another card I can give to my brother!:)

This card was made using some Chatterbox paper, (1) Stamp, Ribbon, some Brads and now I've got myself another card to give to the men in my life... these can all easily be changed for Father's Day in my opinion.... Challenge yourself today to try and make a masculine card by looking at a past card you've made for a friend or female relative...it really can be done and I know all you wonderfully creative people out there can make something wonderful for the men in your life! Have a great day! :)

Two Pictures today!

Good Morning Everyone! I have 2 posts today...I made an adorable baby card and I did another challenge! So take a peek and let me know what ya think! :)

This baby card came out so cute...or at least I think so! LOL I used My Stampin' Up Cardstock supplies and DCWV Baby Girl paper pack.... I cut the rattle out of the New Arrivals Cartridge...and used the Mini Monograms for the scallop & circle.... The Rattle is cut at 3 1/4", I used the shadow, reg. and shift key... I also used my Design Studio because I like to use the Hide Contour feature when I don't want to cut anything I don't need out! I also used some stickles to give it that little extra something... :)

This card was made for the Cricut Cardz Challenge...The Challenge is too use either a bird or butterfly from any cartridge.... wow could that get any easier! :) Sooo I used my Stampin' Up Supplies and took out my Sentimentals Cartridge for this butterfly which is cut at 1 3/4", I used the Shadow, Reg. & Shift Key.
I don't know why I bought this Cartridge it's really not a favorite of mine, Sorry to say....  :(
but I'm glad I pulled it out to make something with it...The butterfly on this cartridge is lovely! :)
I put on a little bling...The saying was computer generated and I brought out my nestabilities for the oval & scallop... I chose a Fiskar Border punch and an EK Sucess Border punch as well... Thanks for taking a peek! Have a Great Day!

Another Challenge!

Hello again! Here is another place I like to go and challenge myself! It is Stamp with Heather... Now she is a wonderful lady who is super talented in card making! She is also a Stampin' Up Demo... She is not my Demo because she lives in Canada... She started a few weeks back with this Simple Sunday Sketch and they are simple and fun to do! You can pretty much use what you want...I like those types of challenges! LOL Anyway here is the Simple Sunday Sketch this week:

Now I am not all into the "simple" to much,  I like to add things to my cards....So Simple to me, meant something different! Or at least I think so! :)  Anyway here is my version of what the Simple Sunday Sketch looked like in my eyes! :)

Everything here is made with Stampin' Up Products except for the Cuttlebug embossing folder I used on the Old Olive (green) Cardstock.... I love my Cricut but I love Stampin as well....So you will see both types on my blog... I hope you like it! Have a Wonderful Day!

Back with Children's Cards....

Ok Everyone...I'm back like I said with some children/kids cards I made....I made these about 2 weeks ago... This first one is from the Paisley Cartridge...Gotta love that frog! The layout is actually from a card I seen a long time ago on Splitcoast stampers.... I liked it soooo much that I decided to make this after seeing it.. I wish I could remember who had originally done it but it was a long while ago... Sorry :( anyway this is my version of that card.... I believe my frog is cut at 2 1/2" and I used Stampin' Up supplies... I did use my other favorite tool my CUTTLEBUG!!! I don't remember the embossing folders name but I'm gonna start to label this stuff wayyyy better! I promise! :)

This card is made from Create a Critter.... It is such a fun Cartridge! :) I used mostly Stampin' Up supplies, except the Design Paper is Chatterbox....it's an old line of theirs.... I believe this skunk was cut at 2 1/2"...
I used ink daubers to give it some shadowing effect...
Then I used the fiskar Apron Lace Border punch.... I really like the colors of this one! :)

This one is done with the Paisley Cartridge.... I do like the snail, it's sooo perfect for a little girl... Of course I used my Stampin' Up supplies... the Designer Paper is KI Memories..it's an old one as well... I also used the Threading Water Border punch from fiskar on it... I did use my ink daubers to give it depth/shadowing.... :)

Thanks for taking a look! I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of cards I did today! :)

Good Morning Everyone!

Hello and Good Morning! I'm soooo excited that school is almost out.... I can't wait to go back to sleeping in with my boys.... I mean I'm soooo excited that apparently I decided to start early because I was sleeping in this morning and when I did wake up I was jumpin out of bed like a crazy lady... Reminded me of when I was in school and well that was a longggg time ago! LOL :) Anyway this week I will be making more cards but in the mean time I will show you cards that I've made this past month.... these first 2 I made for my youngest son who turned 7yrs. old the first part of May... Enjoy! :) Theresa

This Dino is soooo super cute! And I had paper to match - big time score! LOL Anyway it is an A2 size card and I used my wonderful Stampin' Up supplies and the Dino is cut at 3 1/2" or at least I believe thats what it is cut at..I'm not good at writing this stuff down sooo I'm hoping having this blog will help with that while its still fresh on my mind. :) I did use all the layers for the dino and I inked all the edges to give it some depth! And I tell ya adding the googlie eyes just gave it it's cuteness (is that even a word?) I used Dimensionals to pop Mr. Dino up and added the Birthday stamp from Stampin' Up with  Stampin' Up Punches... He thought these cards were great and I really enjoyed making them...:) I do have a few other childrens cards that I've made, so I'll post them a little later on today! Thanks for taking a peek! :)

Ok...this card was made using the Create A Critter Cartridge and my Design Studio... It is such a cute Octopus that I had to make it for him! I made him an A2 size card so he is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and then I just added pages in my project to make the hat fit and the rest of him...:) If I learn how to share cut files...I will share it with you all...but for now..I have nooo clue.... :)

Male Birthday!

Of Course I had to make Masculine Birthday cards as well... :) So here is one of them.... I used my Stampin' Up Cardstock and WeRMemory Designer Paper.... The Present & Balloons are cut from The Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge...  I used some hemp for the Balloon strings... :)

This one is an oldie but a goodie in my opinion... I like to call it the "Pull Out Card" I used WeRMemory Designer Paper and cut the flowers out of the Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge.... It looks plain but I like the hidden Happy Birthday message you get.... :)
I used the Just Because Cartridge on this card for the cake and the Frame background.... The Cardstock is Pretty n Pink, Certainly Celery and DCWV older Spring paper.... I used a pink gingham ribbon and red stickles for the cherry on top! :)

Female Birthday Cards..

I made some female birthday cards this past week as well.... So I will post them 1 at a time....:) This first one I used the Straight from the nest Cartridge....

I use Chocolate Chip, So Saffron CS and then Basic Grey Designer Paper (don't remember the name) but I've had it a long time! The beautiful bird was cut out at 3 1/4".... I added some small flowers and some bling!

Baby Girl!

OK here is an adorable little baby girl card made with some more Older Basic Grey paper I had.... You will see I am a Stampin' Up girl and love their products... (NOTE:) I do not sell anything for Stampin' Up! :)
I used Lavender Lace CS and then layered it with So Saffron CS, then my Basic Grey Designer Paper, I used a matching Lavender ribbon and the scallop circle was cut out of Certainly Celery CS with my Mini Monograms Cartridge at 3" real dial size.... The Cute Elephant was cut in Pretty n Pink CS & Lavender Lace CS... I used the Create a Critter Cartridge and cut it out at 2". :)

Baby Cards!

This cute little baby boy card was made using the Just Because Cartridge for the Rocket... This is a great Cartridge! :) I had some older Basic Grey Baby Boy paper and I used Not Quite Navy Cardstock from Stampin' Up, the next layer is Pumpkin Pie Cardstock from Stampin' Up, and then of course my Basic Grey paper.... I added 2 layers of circle to bring out the Rocket and used a corner punch in the So Saffron color and added 2 brads down at the other end... The title is a Computer generated saying... :)

Baby Cards!

Hi again! I made some really cute baby cards this past week I would like to share with you... I'm ADDICTED to my Cricut Expression.... I love to make things with this machine so you will see lots of projects done with it... If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks!

I used the Just Because Cartridge for the Boat and I used Zooballo for the Water... This is a reg. A2 Card in  Baja Breeze with a yellow layer in So Saffron then Designer Paper from DCWV, I used a Stampin' Up Stamp and Punches for the title, I also inked around the edges for depth! The light blue water is on the card directly then I added Dimensionals to the boat then the last layer of water I used thicker pop up dots...:)

My Pink Stamper Challenge!

Hello everyone! This past week My Pink Stamper issued a Color Challenge.... Well I like a Challenge so I took her up on it and this is what I came up with... I use Stampin' Up Cardstock in Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss then I used Designer paper from Stampin' Up.... I used my Songbird Circut Cartridge for the Chocolate Chip frame and layered a white frame over that... Then I used my Home Decor Cartridge to cut out the bird in Designer Paper as well... I used the reg. feature and the shadow to make the bird.... I used Kiwi Kiss ribbon and I used the Tiny sayings stamp set from Stampin' Up and used 2 different window punches... Thanks for taking a peek! :)

Theresa

Good Afternoon!
