Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

 Hello and Happy Saturday Everyone!
I know it's been a couple of weeks since I posted last -
We have been plugging away and getting the kitchen done -

I really wanted to have it done by Thanksgiving and we are
so Dang Close I can taste it! YAY!
Of course, as with anything we've been doing on this
house we've run into snags here and there -

We have a small section left in the kitchen which should
be completed by this weekend (keeping fingers crossed)

On another good note, my back is so much better,
but now this past week I've caught a bug!
I've been a bit down and out not able to do too much
around the house -- But as I'm typing this out I am feeling a lot better
than those first few days of catching whatever it was I caught! LOL

I've only had time to create 1 card so I thought I would share it before
November left us behind - :)

It also looks as though I won't get my house completed by the
end of the year deadline we had set for ourselves - I'm coming to terms
with it and will take whatever I can out of it now - My son will
leave after the holidays so whatever is done by that time is what
I'll have to live with and work on the rest of the house
without his help moving forward -

It'll all work out I'm sure in the end and I can honestly
say I'm totally happy with all the work we've put into this place so far -

I'm super grateful for him and all the hard work
he helped put into this place for us - I'm one lucky MOM!

Anywho - Let me share the card I made using
a beautiful Leaf Stencil from Polka Dot Orchard

I swear if I had more time on my hands I would have totally made
several more cards with this beautiful stencil -
I just LOVE it!

I Foiled my card with Copper foiling! I had to take another picture to
see if I could capture it - it looks so pretty
up close and in person!

I tried several times to take a picture showing off the inside as well -
All Copper foiling inside too... this really is an elegant card!

Here's what I used on this lovely card -

Copper Foiling, Laser Printer, Laminator,
Fun Foam, Stitched Rectangle Frame Die, Neenah Solar
White Cardstock, Dark Chocolate Cardstock, Distress Oxides in
Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, & Fire Brick

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a Beautiful Thanksgiving Week!

'Tis the Season... Home Decor'

 Hello & Happy Halloween Everyone!
It's Saturday and I'm trying to take it easy today
after last weeks back issues - I'm still
trying to get things done but not working as hard - :)

I've got my last Halloween project to share with you -
It's another Dollar Store Makeover -

I simply LOVE how this one turned out -

As you can tell, I made over a Haunt House Sign $ tree had -
I sanded this bad boy first and removed the paper design then
I used some White Primer paint

I used my Glittery Black Acrylic Paint to cover the front & Sides
then I used some White Paint to dry brush around the edges
I added some Mod Podge and let it dry

I found the cute Sentiment from my Silhouette program
and cut out the words with different colored vinyl

The Spider webs are cut out in vinyl on dies from
My Creative Time

and the Glittery Ghost is from the $ tree - It was in a package of
6? I think? It's wood and I Hot glued it down off to the side -

This is sitting on a shelf in my living room and I could not be happier
with how it turned out!

THANK YOU for coming along with me on my
weeks-long Halloween projects!

I really do hope I have more time to sit down and type out
blog posts and maybe even visit my favorite blogs for a change...
I know I'll get there so please be patient with me!

I'm wishing you all a FABULOUS HALLOWEEN!
Eat lots of Candy and enjoy time with your kids!

This Witch Home Decor'

 Happy Friday Crafty Friends!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVE!
Are you able to take the little ones out
for Trick or Treating? OR are you trying to be safer
about it this year due to Covid?

Since I don't have any little ones, I'll be staying in -
We live far away from others with children so
no trick or treaters are coming my way -
Our small town is having a Trunk or Treat that everyone
can participate in, but I've got a lot going on still
so maybe next year I'll be able to join in. :)

I still have 2 posts left to share my Halloween projects
and I want to THANK YOU if you've been checking back ALL week!
I spent an entire evening writing out all the posts
for this week (when my back went out on me)
It took me a while to write them because I had to stop
due to the pain - Don't worry it's better now...
My body was just reminding me to take a break
from all the home renovations, so I DID! :)

Here's another Halloween Home Decor Remake
that I made using a Wooden Witch Hat I found
at a Target Bullseye Section - :)

I honestly didn't have to do too much to this one -
It was already painted black and has black glitter
around the edges -
I sanded it a little bit and added some
dry brush white paint - Then I Mod Podged it before
adding my vinyl sentiment that I found in the Silhouette store
The Spider Webs and Spider are dies from My Creative time

This is sitting on my Coffee Bar next to my other Witch Sign I
shared over a week ago - Super FUN & CUTE!

See ya Tomorrow!
Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Spooktacular Slim Line Card

 Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
I hope your week is moving along quickly -
I've got another pre-scheduled post to share -
and it's another Halloween card! YAY!

I actually made this card months ago...
Like before I moved! LOL
Hey, sometimes you just want to make a Halloween card in April!

This was the 1st Slim Line card I made back in April
with some new Slim Line dies (at the time) from Trinity Stamps

The designer paper was from a paper kit (WeR Memory - Retro Glam Kit)
I had and shared several other projects from - I thought the colors were perfect for Halloween cards so I ended up making 2 different ones -
I'll share the other one tomorrow! :)

The images & Sentiment are from Pink and Main (Spooktacular)
and I've had them colored up
for a while sitting in one of my craft bags - I watercolored the
images with my Zig real brush pens & Bristol Cardstock
I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the images

I added some assorted gems from my stash

I think it turned out so cute!

See Ya Tomorrow!
Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

Jack O Lantern Decor'

 Happy Sunday Everyone!
I hope this post finds you all well!

I'm gonna try and make this a quick post and
it has been pre-scheduled because as I said yesterday
my time is very limited - :)

Here's another Fun Halloween Makeover
of a $ store sign -

Here's how I made it ---

1.) I Sanded the entire front of the original design and
peeled off whatever was there
2.) I painted it with some white primer
3.) I used some painters tape to separate
the pumpkin shape from the lower portion
4.) Then I painted the pumpkin portion and sides with some
orange acrylic paint
5.) I went back over the pumpkin with one or two shades
of a tan paint just to add some dimension
6.) I painted the lower portion with some black glitter acrylic paint
7.)  Then I dry brushed on some white paint to give it a spooky feel
8.) I painted on some Mod Podge and let it dry
9.) I went into my Silhouette program and picked out
a pumpkin face and cut it out with some black vinyl
10.) Found a Sentiment it the Silhouette and edited it a
little bit to fit on my sign then cut out the different words
with assorted vinyl colors
11.) I used some Spider dies from My Creative Time and die cut
them out with white vinyl
12.) Then I went back in with some Papertrey Ink Twine
and twisted it around the lower portion of the pumpkin and tied a bow.

It looks cool on my shelf in the living room!

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Home Decor' Remake Project...

 Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!
How has your week gone? how bout' the weekend so far?
Mine? busy, busy... So busy that I hurt my lower back!
It's been a while since I did that... I believe the last time was
back in Dec. 2019 - Soooo it was bound to happen sooner or later -

We are still chugging along with the kitchen but I'm taking it easy
this weekend because of my lower back pain, so I thought I
would sit down and write out a few posts-

You guys know I love Fall and Halloween and I've only shared one
thing so far... I did make a couple of things for the Fall season -
I even took some time to actually make 3 Cards -
I haven't made a card since March? maybe April?

So, I'm hoping to share them this next week -
I think I'm just gonna make a quick post every day til
Halloween so you can see what I've been up to
since getting a small craft space started -

I can't even be online more than once a week, so I apologize
now that I still haven't been able to get to most of your blogs -
I think I got on Facebook once... it's just hard and time-consuming
and the house IS consuming my life more than anything else at the moment. :)

So... here is another home decor project I did -
I got this sign from a teacher at my old job -

She was going to toss it out but when I saw
it, I told her what I see in the shape, and she
said go ahead and take it - just let me see what
you did when you finish it -

Well... here's what I did with it!

Isn't he the cutest? OMGOSH...
I think this turned out adorable and it's sitting by my front entry -

And YES! I did send her the pictures and she loved it! :)

What I did -----

1.) I sanded the sign down
2.) I painted it with a white primer
3.) I painted it with 2 shades of greens (acrylic paint)
4.) I dry brushed the edges and lines with a grey acrylic paint
5.) I painted my canvas with Mod Podge and let dry
6.) Went into my Silhouette program and found 2
different images and took parts from both to create this guy
7.) I picked out a few assorted colors of vinyl & cut out the pieces
8.)  Layered all the vinyl cuts on my sign to create this adorable Frankie!

When my sister came over she couldn't believe how cute
he turned out and I was like... I know... Right? I so love him!

Anyway... That's what I got for now!

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

I'm Back? Sort of... Maybe.... Just a little....

Hello and Happy Wednesday Everyone!
It's been about a bajillion days since my last post!
WOW! That's a long time! LOL

I'm still plugging away at remodeling my home...
I'm working on the kitchen, which is becoming the most
costly of the whole renovation plan -

We've got my sister into her place and she is hooked
up to our electricity for the time being - As we wait on the
electric company to come out and fix things - If that ever happens???

She's had to do some work on her place and it's
coming along nicely. She really likes it!

Here's what her house looks like -

Mind you - I took these a while ago, She has done some
more updating since these photos were taken. :)

This is actually the backside of her house when they were dropping it off

It was a mess when it arrived and some things were damaged -
she was upset and Hunter came over to help her clean it up
I was out of town when it arrived...

This is one of the loft bedroom areas
With an insanely large & heavy barn door
that she did not ask for -

I suggested she change it out for an accordion door
as you can see she did! :)
Her pantry was destroyed during the move so she's
using one of my brown storage shelves til she can
make herself a new one -

This is her other loft bedroom area - This side has
stairs that were built for it, the other side was supposed to
have a ladder built, but they built it crazy big and heavy
she could barely lift it... When she tried it out, the large
ladder fell from under her and so we tossed it as well -

Here you can see what we came up with - We added
some black metal pipes and attached it to the wall -
We added a metal frame banister as well (it was put on after
I took the picture) :)

Here's the living space - She was able to find a really
nice couch with storage it fit in here - it looks great!

This is the kitchen area - She has a fridge, dishwasher,
Oven, cutting counter, and a reg. counter -
Again it looks a little different now since this
photo was taken... :)

Her bathroom area - She has a small sink, Toilet, and Regular Shower
She wanted a larger bathroom, so there is actually an area
in there for her Washer & Dryer and she has a huge Storage
shelf area - She has added a mirror since this photo as well -

This is the view from the bathroom looking out -

She has plans to add on a front porch & back porch
We know a local guy in town who is called the
"Honey Do" list guy and he can help with adding
things she wants done to her place - He's been
a BIG help! :)

It's certainly been an adventure for both of us...
I'm just glad she's nearby and we can help each other out when
needed - I promise to share some
photo's of my place soon -

In some rooms, we just changed a couple of things and
other rooms we really gave it a makeover - Like I said we
are still working on the kitchen -
After that, the Master Bdrm & Bath will get done -
One of the spare bedrooms has been turned into my
crafting space for the time being - It's been nice to finally get to craft
even if it's for a little bit -

I've been making some Fall/Halloween Home decor
projects since I couldn't last year
So I thought I would share one of them with you today!

YAY for crafting!! LOL

It's been a long while since I've revamped anything
from the $1 store - So, that's what I've been doing...

I have tons of items from the $1 store that I've wanted to
re-design myself and this is one of them -

Unlike the YouTubers, I watch on $1 store makeovers
I personally like to remove the entire front of the item -
I like the shape of them but want to add my own spin
to it - so in this case as you can tell it was a witch
hat with some sentiment (forgot to take before photos) OOPS!

Either way, I started by sanding the entire front down
I even took off the paper design -
Then I chose my paints - In this case, I used
some glittery black & Purple Acrylic paints

I added some dry brushing to the edges with white paint
Then I Mod Podged it - I Mod Podge before adding
the vinyl because for some reason (in my case)
The vinyl won't stick as well and YES I use the
good Vinyl, not the cheap stuff... :)
It's just the way it works for me I guess...

The Spider and parts of the witch hat were cut out
with some My Creative Time Dies & Vinyl

The Sentiment I found in the Silhouette Store
Other than my time, I already had the vinyl, paints,
dies, & machine... I only spent a $1 on this fun sign
that is sitting on my coffee bar...

I just love it and the sentiment!
I hope to be back with more to share!

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Still Moving!

Hello And Happy Monday Everyone!
Wow! It's been a month since I did a post!

As you can all imagine, I've been very busy
since I left my job on April 30th - You guys
knew I was heading into a BIG MOVE and here I am!

I got all packed and on Memorial Day Weekend we
moved the rest of our stuff out of the old place -

Now I have things scattered everywhere! I'm not a
fan of Clutter and trust me when I say I have Tons of Clutter
right now - I know once we get everything where it needs to be
it'll all work out - but clutter makes me nuts... So I'm trying really
hard to deal with it as best as I can -

My sister is still living with us - her house finally arrived
but she has no electricity or plumbing yet - we are really hoping
to get that squared away this week because not only do I have clutter
from my stuff but also from hers... I know she wants to get into her
tiny house asap and I promise to share some pictures very soon -

We have only been able to complete the Dining room,
Living room and one of the small rooms where Hunter
will be staying in until the end of the year - So I still have to remodel
the master bedroom/bath, the spare room my sister is occupying,
the kitchen/laundry area and another bathroom -

Lots to do and I need to get it all done by the end of the year
since Hunter will be going back to Utah for College -
He's my Muscle since my Hubby is disabled -
My sister has also been helping us with the remodeling since
she's been living here waiting on her house -

Not only will we be getting her stuff together we should
be starting on the other bathroom - I ordered everything I
need to fancy it up and I will take before and after pictures
when it's completed -

Anywho - I'm only posting this to keep you guys
updated on what's been going on - I finally (just last night)
made a space to put my computer up temporarily -
I have no craft room and really have no time for crafting at this point -
It's been super HOT (109 degrees) lately so things move a little
slower for us due to the heat -

I will try and keep you guys updated when I can and
I'm hoping I can stop by your blogs when I get a little
more time to do so - I may hit up a couple a week...
Just letting you guys know I'm still thinking of my
Awesome Crafting Friends!

If anyone is interested in my new address please shoot
me an email at the email address I have listed
under my picture here on my blog -
Please Put in the Subject Line (New Address Please)
So I'll be able to see it -

Thanks for reading my ramblings... :)

HUGS TO YOU ALL!!!

Rainbow Birthday...

Helly & Happy May 1st Everyone!
Can you believe May is here already?
I can't! It feels like Spring break is where
I'm stuck at (The Start of the Covid-19 Stuff) -

I know a lot of people don't know what day it is
because of being locked down - Even I forget and I
went to work through it -  It just feels like a huge fog
and we are still under it! UGH!

I can tell you this much, it certainly feels like SUMMER
already around here! We've been in the '90s and
I hate the heat! hahaha, Thank goodness for A/C!

Last week I shared a card I made for the
Rainbows Challenge over at Jaded Blossom -
Well, I had a piece of the yupo rainbow paper
leftover and thought I would show ya what I created using it -

How fun is this? The Yupo paper I used was Translucent and I
really like how it looks - I used a rainbow assortment of
Alcohol Inks, a plastic ruler, and some felt to create my lines -

The idea with the ruler & felt came from this video by

I actually made a bunch of backgrounds last year
after seeing her video and hadn't put any of my
designs to good use until I saw the JB challenge!

Trust me I have more Alcohol inked backgrounds to
put together thanks to her video - I've just had them all
sitting in a pile on my desk for almost a year now! Yikes!
Can you say SLOW CRAFTER! LOL
