Rainbow Birthday...

Helly & Happy May 1st Everyone!
Can you believe May is here already?
I can't! It feels like Spring break is where
I'm stuck at (The Start of the Covid-19 Stuff) -

I know a lot of people don't know what day it is
because of being locked down - Even I forget and I
went to work through it -  It just feels like a huge fog
and we are still under it! UGH!

I can tell you this much, it certainly feels like SUMMER
already around here! We've been in the '90s and
I hate the heat! hahaha, Thank goodness for A/C!

Last week I shared a card I made for the
Rainbows Challenge over at Jaded Blossom -
Well, I had a piece of the yupo rainbow paper
leftover and thought I would show ya what I created using it -

How fun is this? The Yupo paper I used was Translucent and I
really like how it looks - I used a rainbow assortment of
Alcohol Inks, a plastic ruler, and some felt to create my lines -

The idea with the ruler & felt came from this video by

I actually made a bunch of backgrounds last year
after seeing her video and hadn't put any of my
designs to good use until I saw the JB challenge!

Trust me I have more Alcohol inked backgrounds to
put together thanks to her video - I've just had them all
sitting in a pile on my desk for almost a year now! Yikes!
Can you say SLOW CRAFTER! LOL

Happy Wednesday to ya! EEK! I can't believe
the week is 1/2 over already! Tomorrow is actually
my very last day of work! (inserting saddest face ever!)

I will miss the students (Who have been MIA since March!)
And my fellow co-workers - I've made friendships with
several of them and my heart hurts to know I will not see
them on a daily basis - My new life adventure starts this weekend
and I'm excited and nervous all at the same time -

Tomorrow is actually my oldest son's birthday -
and I made this card just for him - I'm using another
wonderful Digital Stamp set from Polka Dot Orchard

I'm using the Gypsy Floral Mockup Background again!

Isn't this guy adorable?  Such a cute image!
I'm using the Gnome Matter What Digital Stamp set

Gnomes are very IN right now! hahaha so I HAD to have this
super cute set!
I colored up my Gnome with an assortment of Alcohol Markers

The Sentiment is from Petals for the Pittmans Mini Set (Unfortunately it's retired)
But I had to use that sweet sentiment on my card -

Have your cake...

Hello and Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends!
How was your Easter Weekend?

I know you guys are thinking... Umm, Theresa...
Easter was well over a week ago!
I know... but I was away at the other house working and
I didn't get back till late Wednesday then
I worked Thursday & Friday and then
Saturday was my BIrthday so I just
chilled at home and did nothing - I didn't even
get on the computer - Sunday I did the same thing, so
here we are on Tuesday the 21st. now... I feel
like I've lost time somewhere in there! hahaha

I still hope it was wonderful for you - We ended up finally
getting paint on the walls Easter Sunday! I was so happy to
finally, see my paint colors on the walls - It felt so good to get
rid of that yucky orangy salmon color the renters had put on the
walls - they didn't even do a good job of painting - it was very sloppy
so I had a lot of cover-ups to do!

We also took out a window and made it into a wall -
That was interesting since I've never done that before -
We also put in a couple of solar screens - we have a lot more
to fix and put in place of the old torn screens, but we're getting there!

It felt good to see some progress being made since we've had so many
hiccups since December - It's starting to feel like home - I'm getting
excited and nervous all at the same time! Eek!

Anywho, enough about my soon to be moving drama -

I saw that Jaded Blossom has a new challenge this month - RAINBOWS

So you guys knew I HAD to play along!

I thought this turned out so cute! I love Rainbows!
My rainbow was created on Translucent Yupo paper with
an assortment of fun alcohol inks

The sentiment & image are from Jaded Blossom (Cake Day)

Happy Birthday Video...

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
How's your week going so far? I actually have a short
week this week - With Easter coming up this weekend
we're taking an extra day or 2 off to go drive to the other house -

My hubby needs his medicine, food, New Glasses, and
test kit, so we're trekking down to help him out and work on
the other place - Luckily it's in the middle of nowhere
so we don't have to worry about other people being close by -
- Homes out there are 1 1/2 to 4 acres apart -
I'm hoping to get more work done, since our move is nearing closer -

When I was there back in February, I meet a neighbor (2 streets over)
and she had heard from my husband that I made cards -
She asked me if I would make some for her grandkids -
Of course, I said YES! One of her granddaughters
LOVES to play video games and likes the color purple
so I created this card with her in mind -

I thought this turned out pretty cool and so did she!
They don't have much for girls who play video games, so I had to kind
of design my own thing -

Cardstock - Papertrey ink, Neenah Solar White, SU
Watercolor Digital Designer Paper - Silhouette Store
Stitched Rectangle Frame Die - My Creative Time
VersaMark Ink, SSS Ultra Fine White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Stormy Trendy Twine
Game Controller SVG File - Silhouette Store (#79637)
Banner Die - My Favorite Things
Fun Foam, Misti tool, Canon IP8720 Printer

This is how I did the inside - I used 2 different shades of grey ink for the sentiment

She hasn't given it to her granddaughter yet - but said she thinks
she'll love it too!

Have a safe and Happy Day!!

maybe I'll get around to creating again... Who knows...
for now, I'll just share what I've already made -

It's Cake Day! Celebrate...

Hello & Happy Friday Everyone!
Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am!
We've been deep cleaning each classroom so you can
imagine I'm pretty busy all week long - So for me, the weekend
is what I need to unwind after a crazy week! 😊

This week I've been sharing some designs I've made
using my Silhouette Program and my IP8720 Canon Printer -

They are ALL Birthday cards since we need them monthly -

Here's another one I created a while ago that I was able to bring to life!

How Cute! Am I Right?
I do love how clean and simple this one turned out!

1 on top of the center cupcake - just for a little added fun!

Happy, Happy Rainbow B-day...

Hello, and Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!
How is your week going so far? Mine? Not too bad I guess -

I finally found some paper towels last night - YAY!
I stopped by my local grocery store (needed potatoes)
Didn't find a bag of potatoes but found some cheap version
of paper towels - Since I really needed them, I didn't complain
about the brand - They have signs up everywhere limiting
everyone's purchase to 2 per household -
I'm hoping to find a bag of potatoes this week (keeping fingers crossed)

In the meantime, I made another card using my
IP8720 Canon Printer and my Silhouette Program -

You know we all need Birthday cards! So I put a few images together
and designed this fun Birthday card!

I added some Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz and realized I need a
new bottle - it kind of splattered (I wasn't going for that look)
but it happened and It is what it is! hahaha

Cardstock - Bazzill White, Neenah Solar White, Stampin' Up
Happy Happy Rainbow Image - Silhouette Store (#298392)
Birthday Candle Image - Silhouette Store (#155047)
Bubble Birthday Background Image - Silhouette Store (couldn't find the Number)
Stitched Rectangle Frame Die - MCT (My Creative Time)
Fun Foam for added dimension

Wishing you all a Wonderful Day!!!

Happy, Happy, Happy...

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone!
I'm back from my Spring Break and I
see all the craziness going on in the world!

Remember I was without internet for a week
so I'm a little behind! This does explain the
easy drive home with less traffic - Boy it was
a quick and easy ride for a change! LOL

We are doing just fine and I still have to go to work -
The schools are closed but they want us to come in
and deep clean while we wait for school to re-open!
Hunter and I will be going in at night so the teaching staff
can be there during the day - we don't want anyone
to freak out if there's too many of us at school at once -

Our school has been keeping the whole staff up to date
with what's going on and what will be happening in
the near future - As far as I know our whole
staff is still employed and we are all doing our parts to help
the students with what they need -

My husband, who most of you know is disabled is
back at the other place - remember it is in the
middle of nowhere and I made sure to stock his fridge
and freezer before I left...
Although, that was a challenge since so many people
were buying up all the food! He was running low since the last time
I was there (which was back in February) - But I think
I got him squared away until I return Easter Weekend!

Of course, that worried me as Hunter and I returned to Utah...
We had no toilet paper in the house or paper towels
and we were really low on food since we knew we'd be gone
for a week and of course not realizing everyone
would freak out!  I did grab some extra toilet paper from
my husband, since he had more than enough to share with us...
But not enough paper towels (ooh, well) -

When we returned, traffic was sparse and we stopped to check our
Walmart out for some food.. thankfully they had meat in stock, eggs, and milk
so we were good about that, but still no paper towels - Otherwise
we are set for a little while - we did not hoard anything - we only took
what we needed for the time being - 1 gal. of milk, 1 pack of eggs,
1 pk of lunch meat, some cheese, some meat -
but certainly not more than what I felt we needed -
There were no canned goods, but that didn't bother me either -
I do have some canned food on hand as well

I'm just shocked by all the hoarding some people feel the need to do!
I get people are scared (Me not so much) but I get it for those that are -
But in a time of need for EVERYONE... WHY? on earth would they think
it's okay to hoard all the toilet paper and food? When there are
so many of us in this world who need it as well -

I guess helping your fellow man goes out the window when
some become panicked and scared - Of course, the Media is no help -

Anyway, I'll jump off my soapbox and share a card I made
over the weekend - I had a bunch designed in my Silhouette Program
awhile ago when I didn't have a printer - and now that I do I can
actually bring these designs to life! YAY

The images are from the Silhouette Store (#303598)
They are a sticker pack, so I used different ones in the pack to create my card front

I wanted this one to be for a female so I added some Clear Wink of Stella
to the Balloons and tiny hearts

This one could be for either or - But I didn't add any glitter to it -

The Stitched Rectangle Frame die is from (MCT) My Creative Time
I used Fun Foam to pop up the card front onto the card bases
The cardstock is - Papertrey Ink, Bazzil White, & Stampin' Up
My Printer is a Canon IP8720

I hope you are ALL doing well and are Healthy!

HUGS!

Quick Birthday...

Hello, & Happy Spring Break!!!! YAY!
Yup! It's finally here for us and we are on
our way to the other house to get some more work done!

Geesh! Why does that not sound exciting?
Ooh, wait... because it's NOT Exciting!!! LOL
But it is something that needs to be done before
moving day - Which is inching closer and closer!!

I've got one more quick card to show ya
before I head out of town -

This is another Silhouette Store Image (#297225)

It's called Happy Birthday Watercolor Floral - I love the colors

I just used a Stitched Rectangle Frame die
and popped it up with some fun foam right onto a
pacific point (SU) colored Card base -
I added some tiny clear adhesive gems and called it done!!

This will be another card I can use for school so a win-win for me!

I'll be gone for a week and I won't have internet -
So wish me luck and I'll see you guys when I return!

Have a BEAUTIFUL WEEK!!!!

Retro Glam....

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!

While I'm still struggling to create, I managed
to make 8 cards over the weekend using an
old card kit that I had just sitting around -

I made a card with this kit a long time ago
and since I'm not feeling super crafty I thought this
might help jump-start some Mojo!

The kit says you can make 8 cards, (which you can see them on the cover)
since I already made a card with this kit and made 8 more over the weekend
and have at least 2 possibly 3 cards left to make with
this kit... I think you can get at least 12 cards completed using
any card kit -

I never use the sizes they offer like 5x7 or the large square card
size of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 - I use the extras from those types of
designs to create more cards with - I also prefer to use
my own cardstock for the card bases - which pushes
more cards out of the kit as well -

These first 3 cards are the first ones I made
trying to jump that Mojo Juice!, So they
are more like the ones in the picture on the card kit -

I used Sahara Sand Stampin' Up Cardstock for my card bases

This is a long card sized at 3 1/2 x 8 1/2
The only changes I did from the kit are I added only 1 pink scallop
(the kit shows 2) and I added a faux stitch swirl from the bird to the sentiment
I also added Clear wink of Stella on the Birthday chipboard letters and
the chipboard birds wing and belly -
I also added some Fun Foam for Dimension

This one was supposed to be a 5 x 7 card but I cut it down
to be an A2 Size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and I also didn't add the
4 pink dots the card kit shows - I just didn't like them -
I used my favorite My creative time Stitched rectangle frame die
and added some fun foam for dimension
I also added some Clear Wink of Stella on all the green flowers,
it gives it a nice sparkle!

This one I changed ever so slightly - I actually love the design of this one -
The original design has that background leaf as the card base -  But I used
my Sahara Sand Cardstock and added a Bazzill green cardstock layer
then cut down the leaf design then added the rest - I had to trim the
scallop pieces and green strip because mine wasn't the size of the original -
I added clear wink of Stella to the Hoot letters and to the pink bow on the owl
I also added some fun foam for dimension and the stitched
rectangle frame dies are from My Creative Time

I hope you have a WONDERFUL DAY!!!
