Beware Birthday Boy.......

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone! Did you get a lot of
crafting done yesterday with it being the longest day of the year? LOL
Me... well I got a lot done in the early AM (we are talking Up to 5am)
from Tuesday night too early Wednesday Morning...
So does that count? LOL Otherwise nope!
Didn't do any crafting... but I figured I did a lot the night before/early
morning that it should make up for it! RIGHT? :o) I promise I won't
try and talk about the Imagine today! Just a simple card I made for
a Card Challenge! Hows that for a change? :o)

The challenge is to make a shaped card...
Which I believe this is?? Maybe? LOL
Card stock, Ink, Writer Pen - Stampin' Up
White Signo Gel Pen
Stamp Set - Above Rubies Studio (Birthday Collection)
Cartridge - Life's a Party (Treasure Map) pg. 44 - Using the
Card feature Cut @ 5 1/2"
(Beware) Pg. 64 - Using the Phrase Shift Key Cut @ 1 1/2"
What I did was use my Gypsy & the Hide Contour Feature to get the
red card stock behind the regular map... Then added an extra
Red X & Red Circle to pop them up.... does that make sense?

I did do the inside just a little... I used the same hide contour
feature from my gypsy and cut out another map piece
to go on the inside with a saying which I haven't put yet...
I also crunched up the paper and then inked it, which I wish
I would have done with the front but it was toooo late by then!
DARN IT! Oh well... That's how you learn... Right? :o)

I made this to go into the Challenge over at:
Birthday Sundaes - Shaped Birthday Card

Any whooooo.... That's pretty much it! Thanks for
stopping by and leaving me a comment.... You guys know I
read everyone one of them right? Yes I DO! :o)
Have an AWESOME DAY!!!
Theresa

This is terrific, and it's definitely a shaped card! I only just ordered and am waiting for a gypsy, so I'm looking to see what others create--love your card!

This is great! I know a few kids at my school who would love this card. There's one kindergarten boy in particular who wanted everything pirate-related when I had him in my computer class!

I LOVE this!! What a great card for a boy! Your inking is perfect on this! I have never seen this image used before - that's yet another check for Life's a Party. (I'm trying to slow down on my cartridge buying but you are not helping!)

Arrrgh matey! There's treasure to be found in this card. Could not resist since I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.
