Birthday Celebration --

Hello & Happy Tuesday everyone!
Happy, Happy New Year! I'm back from my vacation
and ready to start the New Year off right! :)
I had a wonderful Christmas with my family and got some AWESOME
Crafting goodies that I have yet to try out! Along with a FANTASTIC
visit with my sister - We went clothes shopping!
I had a ball, seemed to fly by to fast for me though, but that's
okay.... it was really nice to just disconnect from the internet
for a couple of weeks.... I honestly didn't miss it - especially
Facebook! Talk about time consuming! UGH! :)

I found some free time yesterday and left you some
blogging love - I couldn't leave a comment on each post,
but I did let you know I checked out your blogs to see what
I had been missing - some of you where very busy while
others took a nice break as well - I spent all day doing it,
but it was well worth the visits to your blogs! :)

So... it's a new year - and I've decided to step down
as a Design Team member from KaDoodle Bug Designs
I LOVED everything about that team, but feel I need to focus
on making what I want when I want too... This thought may change
of course as I love being apart of a team - But for now...
I'm happy with my decision! :)
I've also decided to try and make 1 Christmas card a week
this year! Doesn't matter what day - just as long as it's 1 holiday card
a week! I really enjoyed being more prepared this past holiday
and want to try to be a little more prepared this New Year! :)

Today, I thought I would share a Birthday card I made for
the school that I work at - I told you in another post that I
offered to make Birthday cards for the Teachers & Staff
which I'm enjoying of course - So here's one I made --

I'm using a Viva La Verve Sketch - I believe it's Oct. 2016 and
I turned it on it's side -
The Designer Papers & Embellishments are from
Simple Stories (Let's Party) collection
Lg. Stitched Card Mat Die - My Favorite Things
Smaller Stitched Mat Die - Craftin Desert Diva's
Card stock is Stampin' Up & American Crafts

I was going for a masculine card for the male staff members -
It took a lot out of me NOT to use my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a FANTASTIC DAY!!

Theresa

This is such a great card and it is perfect for a male! I have some of that paper in my stash. I think I need to get it out and make some birthday cards with it now! Thanks for the inspiration!

It is fun to make something "just for yourself" sometimes. I always look ahead to whatever challenges I have for my design teams, check my calendar and see what I need to create for family and friends and try to match up. I hate when I make a project for a design team that I have no use for. Kind of defeats the purpose!

Happy you had fun with your sister. I hate clothes shopping, so that wouldn't have been fun for me at all!

I had all my Christmas cards done in plenty of time this year, but as you know - got them out late. I'm hoping to actually write in my cards AS I MAKE THEM this year, and write out the envelopes, too. Then I may get them out on time! We'll see how that goes!

Hi Theresa, I'm so glad you had a nice vacation and got to spend time with your sister. My Christmas was really nice too despite the fact I was still wrapping on Christmas Eve! LOL! One of these years I'll be more organized! It was nice to take a bit of a break for me too. Now I have to get my room in order so I can be more productive. Check out my card this week on DCD, you might just recognize the stamps I used! Happy New Year.

Hi there sweet friend and Happy New Year! Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday! Your card is beautiful! Pretty papers and fun colors! By the way, thank you SO much for the beautiful Christmas card! It was so nice of your to think of me! I love your idea of 1 Christmas card a week, sure would be nice to have a great collection by Dec instead of rushing the last few weeks to make them all! Great tip!

Have a super day!

Hi!! Glad to see you're back! I totally understand the DT stuff- it has to work with the whole picture. I can't wait to see your Christmas cards - hopefully it'll inspire me to get one a week gone too! Love the Bday card, and I'm so glad you had a wonderful holiday.

Hi Theresa! Glad you had such a wonderful holiday. I understand about the DT stuff. I stepped down from being a designer on Too Cute By Jessica as well this year. Very busy with work and I'm loving learning how to colour stamps better. You're card looks wonderful. Love your layout too!

Hi Theresa,
Thank you for leaving me bloggy love!! I always appreciate your comments my friend!I was also thinking of making 2 Chistmas cards per month. It would really be 4 since I make doubles, Yes, I tool a little time off and especailly from FB. That can be so stressful and I want to spend more time in making cards for kids so that I can donate them the way I usually do.It is always nice to do something for yourself and coloring has become something I want to continue and I really enjoy! So I agree with you.
Have a wonderful day my friend,
Migdalia
