10 minute Water color card....

Hello & Happy Monday Everyone!
How was your weekend? Mine?
Pretty good! I got to talk with my Marine!
He got back from his deployment - YAY!
He's doing well & seems very Happy -
Which makes me HAPPY! 😃

I also, made some time for baking - I don't know if I've
ever told ya this before... but I LOOOOVE to bake!
and well... Cook too! 😊
I'm addicted to pinterest for recipes...
My sister & I, take pictures of our meals/desserts
and then send it to each other.. saying.. look what I made! hahaha
Since we don't live near each other... this is our sisterly thing
we like to do! LOL - So this weekend I made a yummy
Kentucky Butter cake (which I never made before) -
It was soooo dang GOOD! Moist & delicious! 😊
I also made a homemade Tuna Noodle Casserole dish
on the stove top (which I've never tried before) - Turned out tasty!
I made a buttery/garlic loaf of bread (so good) and
homemade Tortellini Ham Alfredo (this I've made many times, using
a homemade sauce) - But it was just fun to relax, unwind and
spend some time in the kitchen... usually when it's HOT out...
Like this time of year - I cook with my Crockpot a lot!!
It's better than turning on my oven... 😉

Any who... enough about my silly weekend cooking/baking!

Thought I would share a 10 minute card I made with ya!
Something Else I did over the weekend... make some cards!
Quick & easy cards at that! LOVE those! 😋

Okay.. this card was soooo easy to make.. it's sad! hahahaha
The Silhouette store has a sale on Print N Cut items... and...
NOT that I needed any more files (I have way too many) I don't use!
I fell in LOVE with the colors on this Water color Thinking of you card design...

Now... I didn't use the card base... I made my own.. But I did
take the card front image & printed it out.... I then Sprayed it
with some Acrylic Matte Sealer - Why Sealer?
Because my printer is an ink jet printer - If I want to add any
wink of Stella or glitter spray I need to add the sealer first & let it dry,
so my image doesn't get ruined by the water...  😊
It's suppose to protect the paper/image...

After I did that... I sprayed my image with some
Sheer Sparkle Shimmer Spray (I love this stuff) It makes
the whole card front Sparkle... 😍
Then die cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle card mat die...

I added some Fun Foam to the back of it, to let it have
some dimension, attached it to my card base....
Added some pretty gems.... and the front was done....
I also made a scalloped border for the inside of my card,
just to bring the whole thing together....
Easy as PIE!!! Yummy... pieeeee..... 😁

*** Products used on my card ***

Card stock - Stampin' Up, Bazzill
Green & Pink Adhesive Gems - Eyelet Outlet
Clear Bitty Adhesive Gems - CTMH

Thinking of You Water Color Front design - Sil. Store (#74845)

It sounds like you had the perfect weekend! I always send my daughter pics of the food I make just to entice her to come home for a visit, lol. And my sister always sends me her dessert pics. Your card is so pretty! I love that it came together in minutes! Fabulous technique you used on it too!

Your card is beautiful! I thought it was stamped, but how awesome that it took such a short amount of time by being a printable.
I love baking too and just tried a Pinterest recipe tonight. Snickerdoodle Blondies...ummm yeah...if you like snickerdoodle cookies, you will love that recipe! So soft and cinnamony and delicious.
