Camp Create Week #1 - 2nd post for today....

Hello & Happy Tuesday Yet Again!!!
Normally, I don't post twice in one day...
But... I wanted to participate in the

Day #2

I've wanted to in the past... but something always came
up... Soooo, today I made sure to find some time to join!

Today's Lesson was about Remarkable Resist -
Where you heat Emboss & then watercolor
over the embossed design - This is a favorite
technique of mine, so joining in was super FUN!

Here's what I created for today's Camp session --

Now... at first I was unhappy with my embossing... WHY? Well... it's because
I chose to use a Brand new Stamp which hadn't been conditioned first! UGH!
Sooo... when I stamped the Bold Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp
(twice) by the way... and then embossed it... it was not a perfectly clear stamped
image... So I was like (oh Crap!) AND, I forgot to use my Static Powdered
tool which I normally use!! (I guess I was so Excited to play along for
a change.. that I forgot everything!) hahahaha

Any who.... after I decided to leave it AS IS... I picked some
Distress Oxides to use for my water coloring - Broken China, Faded Jeans,
& Wilted Violet - Instead of using just plain old water... I decided to use my
Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz Spray..... And I gotta say...
I'm lovin' the Sparkle!!! I dabbed my WC Cardstock in the inks
several times... using the dry it... then add another layer type method...
I found I was HAPPY with the results.. even with the background
like it was... 😃

I then decided, I wanted to make this a Birthday Card
for another Teacher at school, so I picked a CUTE Elephant to color
from the Adorable Elephants Stamp set using my Spectrum Noir Markers...
It was super quick & easy to color along with those tiny butterflies...

I had the SMILE word die cut out already & sitting on my desk
So I added some Clear wink of Stella to it, just to add more Sparkle
You can NEVER have enough Sparkle!! LOL
then I used the Long Banner Die with computer generated Sentiment
to place underneath the Smile word...

All the little sequins, gems, glitter drops were the final touches...
I think one of the Teachers at school with enjoy this sweet
Birthday card!

I am so glad we chatted today, were able to attend Camp Create, and then post at the same time. How fun! After reading your post, I remembered I didn't prime my stamp either. Oops! That is what makes our creations unique...the little flaws that no one else will notice. Adding that die to my wish list! My list is getting long! :)

Guees this is one of those times where only the artist see the mistakes. I think it is perfect. Love the backround, the water coloring and that cute elephant! Awesome card my friend.

Your card is super cute! Some days are just like that...I didn't start using embossing powders until recently and so I still sometimes forget to use that embossing buddy! I always think of it when all the embossing powder clings where it isn't supposed to LOL...Ooops! I love using my Stamp Perfect tool when embossing so I can stamp the stamp a couple times for hopefully better coverage.

Personally I love the distressed look of the embossing! Am I biased... maybe .. I did the same thing.. and stamped in a hurry... but I really do love the way it looks anyway when there are imperfections... awesome card... so pretty and adorable and love the sparkle!
