Happy Butterfly Heart....

Hello & Happy Wednesday Everyone!
How's your week going? Mine is Crazy busy -
School starts back up in 2 1/2 weeks! YIKES!
I've been cleaning like crazy trying to get the school
in order - Teachers keep Popping in (Driving me Nuts)
and Stressing me out! Everyone wants their room done!

Ummm... I know this already and can only clean so fast!
It's not like we have a huge staff of cleaners roaming the building
It's just ME and my Son - THAT'S IT!!

So, I ask them to be patient and
tell them to come back to school on
Aug. 1st - That gives them 2 weeks to get their
stuff in order and hopefully I might get a small break
before school starts! Geesh!

I'm actually looking forward to school starting -
I feel like that's when my vacation starts! hahaha

Anywho ... can you tell I'm stressed?? 😨

I made a couple of Birthday cards for the staff
I thought you might like to see them-

I made a 2 for 1 card! I like those! How about you?

I'm using some Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and Distress Inks
Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feather, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet
I'm also using the Butterfly Heart Stamp from Victorine Originals

I heat embossed the Butterfly Heart first with some Fine White
Embossing Powder - Then I did the Smooshing Technique
I Let my Acrylic block sit longer on my watercolor
paper so it could give it the vibrant color that you see -
I let it dry completely before I cut it in 1/2 to make 2 cards -

Then I took another piece of White cardstock and colored it
in the same colors (Blending them this time) So I could
Die Cut those Stitched butterflies to match -

The backgrounds on both cards were made using the Distress Spray Stains
Mowed Lawn, Blueprint Sketch, Mustard Seed, & Wilted Violet

I added some Black strips behind the main image
and then die cut a couple of stitched banners out and
used some white embossing powder on the Happy Birthday
Sentiments - Then I added some Clear Adhesive gems
Popped both up with fun foam onto white card bases -

Wow, I can't believe how small your cleaning "staff" is for the whole school. I've always admired the housecleaning staff at the schools where I worked. They work so hard and have a really tough job. As the head of the Sunshine committee, I always organized a huge cookie bake for them every Christmas. They each came away with a huge tray laden with assorted Christmas cookies from each of our Sunshine members.

Anyhow - your cards are really nice! I love how you cut the image strip to make two really gorgeous cards. The black really sets them off.

I can't believe that it's that time again! Summers just fly by, don't they? Tell those teachers you are moving as fast as you can. I'm thinking if they are in such a hurry, they can lend a hand?!

But...let's talk about these gorgeous cards! I love the colors - your inking is beautiful! Love the pops of black and those fabulous butterflies!
